The Acorn of Little Sand Bay Secluded, Wooded, and Dog Friendly!

Welcome to The Acorn!
This very peaceful Aframe cabin has a full-size kitchen with new appliances, modern-rustic bath with a walk-in shower, a loft area with a smart tv and comfy king size bed.
It is located on the top of the Bayfield peninsula, less than a mile from beautiful Little Sand Bay beach on Lake Superior, and approx12 minutes from Bayfield.
There are gorgeous hiking trails, such a Frog Bay Tribal National Park, located within minutes from the cabin. There are also marked walking trails directly on the property itself.
The cabin has a very efficient woodstove, which is the primary heat source, but it also has a minisplit for heat and air, if necessary.

This is such a cute cabin! Kristin has thought of EVERYTHING to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The cabin is very well appointed with everything you need. The stairs to the loft are a little steep, our dog figured out sleeping close to the fire was more cozy than upstairs with us anyway! It wouldn't matter what time of year you visited this would make a great base for exploring a beautiful area. Thanks Kristin we hope to be back someday!

Great Little A-Frame

Had a great stay at the property. It’s tucked back in a nice quiet location near Bayfield. All expected amenities (and more), the furnishing gave the cabin a very premium feel. It was a very comfortable and cozy place to stay for the weekend. Kristen was a very communicative and great host as well. I would definitely recommend booking a stay.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days for our mini-moon. It was the perfect location from town. Plenty of cute things to do nearby, good hiking, and a great little oasis to start and end the day! Peace in the Woods

If I were to design a 1-2 person getaway A-frame, this one would be the design. The kitchen is ample and we’ll stocked w pans/utensils. The lofted bed is a good use of space. The ladder/stairs are sturdy and safe w rails on both sides. The bathroom is well designed with walk in shower. The setting, in the woods on a dirt/gravel road is so peaceful. The stocked wood stove and outdoor fire pit is a nice touch. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Cozy Fall Getaway

This A-Frame cabin was recently constructed and the amenities and finishes were excellent. Kristin clearly put a lot of thought and attention into all the details. It was very comfortable and perfect for my wife and I to enjoy an anniversary getaway. The wood fireplace added a nice touch for one of the cool, rainy days we were there. The cabin is about a 15 minute drive from Bayfield, but it’s on a peaceful wooded property and is a simple drive to the area highlights. Kristin was easy to communicate with and went out of her way to bring us a wine opener when we couldn’t find the one in the cabin. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return the next time we’re in Bayfield.

Summer Kick-Off at Lake Superior

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Acorn so much! The cabin has everything you need and more for a comfortable, relaxing, and fun time! Kristin welcomed us and our pups with open arms and treated us like friends she has known forever. Her willingness to offer any and all advice for the area, her prompt communication, and her genuine caring for our best interest made her a perfect host! We enjoyed many of the amazing adventures in the area, but we also spent a fair amount of time listening to music (from the mirror!), watching any and all wildlife outside the cabin, and enjoying the solitude we found at The Acorn! We cannot thank Kristin enough for her hospitality. We wish for all future guests to enjoy their stay as much as we did and to leave relaxed and refreshed!!
