Look no further: this awesome ground floor condo has everything you could need for a truly memorable (and comfortable) vacation! This newly-remodeled one-bed condo features an open plan kitchen-dining-living space, plus a private balcony overlooking the lake (perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails). The bathroom is clean and bright, and the kitchen is outfitted for all your culinary adventures! Your host runs Bark Point Ventures, a vacation rental management & concierge company that specializes in properties all along Lake Superior's South Shore. We live nearby and is available whenever needed to assist our guests. Our passion is ensuring guests experience the magic of what we feel is one of the most amazing places in the world. Located on the beach right in downtown Bayfield. You can walk to a wide range of locally-owned shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums. And yet the condo is set far enough away from the main drag to not feel like you're too in the middle of everything. One parking space per unit is provided in the parking lot. Street parking is also readily available except during the fall Applefest celebration. Bayfield is a very walkable city, so your best bet is on foot. We are just a couple blocks from all the shops and restaurants in downtown Bayfield. The following shuttles and ferries are also accessible on foot from Reiten Boatyard: \- The Madeline Island Ferry will take you out to Madeline Island and runs regularly during the late spring, summer, fall, and much of the winter. \- The BART Bus runs regularly from through Bayfield and around Chequamegon Bay for a modest fee. \- Big Top Chautauqua runs shuttles for most of for their concerts and events. This ground level, one bedroom unit features an open plan kitchen-dining-living space that opens up to your own private balcony overlooking the lake (perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails). You'll find the kitchen has the basics for your stay, but please note that the fridge is dorm-sized and while there is a stovetop, there is no full-size oven. The owners have provided a good-sized toaster oven as an alternative. The bathroom is updated and spacious. The unit also features a rarity in the area: air conditioning, as well as high-speed wifi. Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here! Walk to downtown shops and restaurants, ferry terminal and recreation center. Off street parking in lot for one car. Plenty of street parking available, except during Applefest weekend in October. Less than 15 minute drive to Mt. Ashwabay ski hill, Big Top Chautauqua, hiking trails, beaches, and more. Public transportation on the peninsula is provided by the Bay Area Rural Transit (BART), more information can be found on their website. An EV charging station is located in the parking lot on the corner of Washington Ave. and E. 6th St. in Washburn. Be aware that sound and vibration travel easily in this building. Please be considerate of your neighbors and keep voices and TV levels down and please walk softly on stairway as well as inside the condo. There are 2 picnic tables and 2 weber grills available for use by guests and residents of all units. Bike racks are also available by the parking lot. The deck in the back is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the sunshine and the lake. We love the Bayfield area with several Apple orchards nearby. They include Apple wine and hard cidar. Madeleine Island is a ferry trip away and Big Bay is beautiful. The condo is walking distance to town and the ferry. The Apostle Islands are really cool and the lighthouses and sea caves are worth seeing.the VRBO was very clean snd stocked with everything you need. ##### Melanie S. Actually, from our first Vrbo search, this property was not our first choice, but it turned out to be the best one. (The other property we thought we wanted got "snatched," literally as we were attempting to book it.) Once there, however, we realized Reiten Boatyard was a much more convenient location. The condo was excellent for a couple, for the 3 nights we stayed. Spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a couple of technical glitches, but host Erin did her best to respond and mostly get them resolved. (You do need to get that tiny freezer in the mini-fridge to be functional!) We really enjoyed cruising the Apostle Islands, visiting Madeline Island and trying out the area restaurants. We definitely recommend this location for a get-away weekend. We enjoyed our stay very much but the condo does need some attention. For instance, we could not find a switch to turn on the track lights in the living room, or they were faulty/burned out. The "gas" fire was a set of candles in the grate. There were at least four different remotes in the living room and it was a challenge to figure out which ones operated the various devices. Removing extraneous ones and providing clear, detailed instructions for the remaining ones would be appreciated. The bed needs a headboard since it is placed across a window which means that one person cannot sit up in bed and read for a bit or watch the tv in the room. All that being said, we enjoyed being close to the lake and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping. We were there in the off-season so be warned that finding businesses open is very hit-or-miss, but we knew that would be the case and it didn't bother us. We very much appreciated the binder which provided really useful information about area activities: hiking, biking, dining, etc. We made lots of use of that! So, all in all, a good stay with just a couple of relatively small issues. ##### Annie K.
