"A long way from downtown, but reasonable and quiet (other than some random noise repeating thought night). Check in was super slow and frustrating as only I girl seemed to be on task. Close to the usual box stores for supplies. I wouldn’t stay here if I had to come into downtown for work purposes as Halifax traffic is a dreadful joke."

"We stayed here before and chose to again as it is close to the airport and has free shuttle and free parking for our car. The elevator was out of order but it didn’t affect us as we were on the same floor as reception. There is construction of a new hotel next door but because we were only there over night to early morning, I don’t know how noisy it would be . The smell of tar was strong outside but not once we were inside. Staff was very efficient and helpful"

"This is a stately property and a symbol of western Nova Scotia! The staff are focused on helping guests, however the maintenance is not being kept up to date. Unless the new owners put significant money into restoring this wonderful property to clean impressive status, it will go down in ratings and depreciate right in front of their eyes. Hospitality has to lead with “heart”. Warmth, professionalism, and be delivered with impressive cleanliness and style. Rooms are clean, however the furniture is showing excessive wear! Breakfast had good quality choices, however tables were dressed with worn and very wrinkled table coverings."
