"We had an amazing stay at Mme Sol’s house over Christmas. Unfortunately car trouble meant we were without transport but we spent the time relaxing, enjoying the full kitchen, comfortable lounge, fireplace, games, table tennis and badminton. The house is beautifully furnished, warm and fully equipped - everything has been thought of. Mme Sol and Mme Louchard checked in to make sure we were OK and provided advice and also bikes so we could travel to the village. We wished we could have stayed...

"Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans la cuisine et salle à manger (vaisselle et couverts à foison )et dans les chambres (deux matelas accolés de taille différente dans l’une d’elle donc peu confortables) Petit bémol mais bon à savoir du fait de l’emplacement dans la campagne on ne capte pas facilement avec les téléphones !et un gros souci de mouches dans une chambre donc chasse aux mouches tous les soirs ...et des cadavres de mouches ici et la dans la maison je ne pense pas que l’aspirateur fut passé...

"This was an excellent property for a party of 12 adults ranging from 25-86 and two dogs. Exceptionally well appointed, the outside eating and cooking areas especially. Great fun making pizzas and memories!"

"Weekend au calme, très sympa. La cuisine est un peu petite pour accueillir 8 adultes. Cependant, les autres pièces sont cohérentes pour l'accueil. Les espaces nuits sont assez spacieux, et personne ne se marche dessus. Petit couac de ménage avec le propriétaire qui a été très réactif! Merci à vous."

"We all enjoyed our stay in Emmanuelle’s house. The clearly recent renovation makes for a comfortable accommodation. Two bedrooms have en-suite baths, the third king bedroom has an adjoining full bath; a triple twin bedroom is upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and dishwater. The app based tv means that you aren’t bound by local cable tv offerings. There’s a nice yard, pool and plenty of parking behind an electric gate. Only downside was that occupants of the two en-suite...

"A beautiful place which is cozy and nicely decorated and furnished—a little out of town for a quiet, soothing visit. Outdoor dining area, lovely pool and a large play area with all sorts of sports equipment. A well-stocked kitchen, cd player and a variety of cds. Upstairs is a nice area to relax, watch tv, read, etc. All the bedrooms were very nice. Highly recommend Patrick’s lovely home and hospitality. Great base to visit regional chateaus."

"Precious little farmhouse in a village not far from Blois. Marie-Claire and Marie-Claude were both very attentive and gracious hosts. Upkeep of the house could have been a little better but considering it is a 400+ year old house it was quite pleasant. It would be nice if the history of the house was posted somewhere. Would have loved to know how this house was used back in the day. Overall enjoyed our brief stay."

"Owner exhibited no interest in our stay. Too busy with film crew even to help out with power cut. Not even in country on arrival. I had to contact local Marie to obtain his phone number to point out he hadn't sent us any info on where the cottage was. Even then the inadequate info sent us the day before we left for France sent us to the wrong "WHITE GATES" (not even visible from road). No welcome pack, just a note in kitchen warning us of £250 Euro fine if we didn't do the washing up on...

"We loved our stay in the Gy en Sologne. The house is in the center of a pretty village close to the castles in the area. Clean and well maintained. It had all a family like ours (4 kids) needs, including toys and a baby bed. Stoyan"

Two small things: (1) a surprise 75 euro cleaning fee on top of vrbo charges (announced after confirmation/deposit) and (2) no Wi-Fi or phone service (the owner is addressing this)."
