We just should them out. The pool looked clean and well maintained but we did not use it. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and welcoming. Both bedrooms were huge and traditional style but clean. The bathrooms just need a bit of maintenance (one toilet lid broken off plus shampoo and shower gel containers missing from wall etc) The pool is brilliant, kids loved it - small inner walled shallow area for little ones too. Very clean. Reception/service is basic and i would go into Battambang (reception called us a tuk-tuk, guy named Jacky Chan! He was great so ask for him) for all meals. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but breakfast wasn't great to be honest. The rooms from the outside are beautiful. The staff is very nice and did its best to help us, even if some of them were not speaking very well English. Within the rooms it’s another story. Equipments are old, the fridge was disgusting, so was the bathroom. I found The hotel restaurant a bit expensive and the food not really good comparing with what he had so far in Siem Reap and Battambang city center. It’s a pity because it’s a bit far away from the city center, and there’s no free shuttle as it’s mentioned in their Expedia description ##### Amal Stayed 5 nights in Nov 2024 ### 4/10 Poor #### John 6 Aug 2024 Liked: Staff & service Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities It’s difficult to write a review like this, when the staff were so friendly and doing their best and with the surrounding gardens lovely. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the hotel it was clear that there were no other guests so therefore the pool was not cleaned and we were told not to go in it. The room was overall okay but things were dated (especially in the bathroom where things were broken) and it needed a refurbish. The main town was 15mins Tuk tuk away which was quite inconvenient but we did find a few good restaurants. We also got a Tuk Tuk for the day supplied by the hotel to see the bamboo train, bag caves and circus which were all great and would recommend. ##### John Stayed 3 nights in Aug 2024 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Verified traveller 8 Jan 2024 #### Is it really open? Checked out after 2hrs; arrived at checkin to be told they could order us in some pizzas as their restaurant had just closed & wouldn't be reopening...pretty sure it had been closed for years. Nowhere nearby (walking) to even grab breakfast in the morning. After 2 hours aircon still wasn't working in any of our 3 rooms. We decided to head to VV hotel Battambang as at least it's central (& plenty of local Khmer food options) Not even a tuktuk available nearby so had to get reception to book us one. However very disappointing that no spa facilities available although advertised as having sauna steam and jacuzzi on site. Neither was the restaurant open nor was there a buffet breakfast also advertised - breakfast ordered the day before and brought to the room in the morning.
