With a wraparound deck and a private dock, this charming house is the ideal spot for a family reunion or a large group of friends. Whether you're watching a summer sunset over the water or warming your feet by the wood stove, you'll never want to leave.

The house is located on a quiet peninsula about 40 miles south of Augusta, tucked amongst the trees with a stunning view of the river and surrounding islands.

The inside has a cozy, rustic character throughout, paired with modern conveniences like WiFi, cable, and a DVD player. The downstairs living room features a wood stove, a writing desk, large windows, and plenty of comfortable seating to relax or play games.

In the summer, you can move outside to the porch, which is furnished with sofas, chairs, and tables of its own. It's also fully screened-in, so you don't need to worry about mosquitos or other pesky insects crashing the party. There's even a hammock out in the trees for those lazy afternoons.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms with three queen beds and three twin beds, sleeping nine guests altogether. With lamps, easy chairs, and dressers, the rooms have been elegantly furnished for maximum comfort. Please note that there is only one bathroom in the house. This cabin was exactly as desribed! It was a charming older cabin right on the New Meadows River, with spectacular water views from the back porch. While our stay was a short two nights, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Perfect Maine Vacation House

We spent a long fall weekend on guy’s trip. It was perfect for us. Great fire pit, dock, and easy access to hikes through Hamilton Audubon Park.

We'll be back!

This cabin has a fun, campy feel with excellent access to the water and a fabulous, huge screened-in porch. The furnishings were homey and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We kayaked and fished all week and enjoyed a very relaxing vacation right on the water.

A real old time Maine camp on the water

This was just what we were looking for. Rustic, nothing fancy, but had some modern amenities. The most beautiful sunset was a bonus.

Lovely views, period and setting atmospheric, good choice

We enjoyed our stay and found the owners provided numerous little helpful extras. The only somewhat significant challenge is the recurring 31 stairs' climb, but the reward is a great view.

Quintessential Maine Camp

This was the perfect quintessential Maine camp! Beautiful location right on the water was comfortable but rustic as expected. Lots of character and charm! We spent so much time enjoying the dock, swimming, and relaxing on the screened in porch. Highly recommend! Would definitely go back!

Peaceful retreat

The front porch is wonderful, beautiful views, nice breeze , great place to hang and relax. We thought the shower might need a re-do and the steps from house going down to the dock as well.

Fantastic Sun sets

Great screened in porch to enjoy the sunsets. Or you can take them in from the dock. House itself has been well loved over the years and is comfortable enough for our long weekend.

Like summer camp!

The house is very campy. Perfect location. Very quiet. It only has one bathroom which can be tricky with 6 people. We loved it but we are very informal and used to summer camps. If you want all modern amenities this might not be the place for you.

Maine Camp

This is a typical rustic Maine summer time camp with which I am well familiar. The location is lovely and the house is a typical old camp. Pretty much everything but the coffee maker is fine. The coffee maker appears to have a mismatched caraffe which is nearly impossible to remove and the coffee maker routinely spill a half cup to a cup of coffee on the counter and the floor. Please replace it. The price a Is a little stiff for a coffee maker that does not work and a refridgerator with a broken handle. It took removing the first trash bag to discover there were a couple more underneath. The notice on the refridgerator referred us to two helpful people if questions arose....but no contact number was available. A nice old camp, but just missing it on routine maintenance issues

Rustic charm. Beautiful location to stay if you are looking for a quiet place to chill. It has that cabin feel. Where you can have the quality time you want. Be aware that it does get cool at night in the cold months. Has one heater that does a nice job warming the place up a bit. Also a stove. Plenty of games to do. Planty of locations to chill.
