Room was great, beautiful soft and comfy bed, all in a tranquil country setting that is only a short drive to Tomakin, Mossy Point and Broulee. The pool was great. The downside was the room. The images displayed make the roomsame and area look a lot nicer than it really is. It was a lovely place but a little less than I was expecting/hoping for given the reason I was staying there. The option of going on a horse ride is great. The 300 acres was beautiful with horses, kangaroos, birds and a golf course. Dinner was great, we even managed to get the recipe from Tess. Peaceful night and a great breakfast. We were made to feel so comfortable which made for a most relaxing stay. Although the decor of the rooms was outdated, they were still comfortable and they shower was amazing. It was a shame there wasn't a hairdryer though but being summer, it was a minor hiccup. We didn't have time to use the pool but we did enjoy horse riding. The meals were outstanding. Surprised that this place is not more patronised. It was an interesting place emphasised perhaps by the torrential rain. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The setup was different where once the evening menu was posted you had to pre order. While there was not a plethora to choose from, there was a good choice. The pumpkin soup was to die for and you could have eaten it with a fork, obviously homemade. The pizza was well cooked and totally delish. However, the lack of ice for my pre dinner drink whilst not a game changer was interesting. Breakfast was continental or you could opt for a paid cooked. The continental was fine and the homemade fruit salad hit the spot. The facilities were under utilised due to the rain, however the golf course was a little run down and inhabited by the roos. The staff were so friendly and helpful and it's almost like a mini zoo with all the animals on the ranch (including all the wild wallabies).
