"Great se luded place with an amazing beach. Our pool light was not working and they offered to change our villa (which we were very confortable) and since we refused they borrowed the golf cart instead for the full stay. Friendly staff and beach club. A bit far from the main village if you plan to go there for dinners, but there are 4 restaurants accesible and a market"

"Dragon and Zu were awesome hosts! We quickly became friends. The casita over the water was incredible and it felt like we were living on top of our own giant aquarium. We were visited by dolphins, rays, needle fish and even a nurse shark. The cool breezes off the ocean were nice to cool us off in the heat of the day. Zu helped us arrange a couple of excursions in the area and made us an awesome fish dinner one night. We are happy that we got to experience this awesome place! Thank You Dragon and Zu! We hope to meet again."

"Azul Paradise exceeded all expectations, thanks to its impeccable accommodations, outstanding service led by managers Jordano and Ricardo, and the unbeatable location. Our bungalow was spacious, immaculately clean, and the panoramic views from the full wall glass windows were simply breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean waves and sounds of the tropical rainforest made us feel totally at peace. While drinking your morning coffee, you will likely see several different species of fish through the glass floor. My wife and I found ourselves with the privacy we needed to reconnect. Often, we were the only ones on the beach, or the only ones on the walking trail enjoying the sounds of nature. We highly recommend this resort, and we look forward to returning in the future!"

"We loved Isla Bastimentos, the people, and the property but there is quite a bit of litter on the island and the water is not clean enough around the villa to swim in. It seemed that a lot of grey water and dirt went into to the water as it smelled."

"We loved our immersion in nature, wellness, and excellent food and service! Gorgeous and comfortable open-air accomodations in the middle of the jungle. Our family of 3 stayed for 5 nights in the Queen Rainforest treehouse. It was a bit of a hike to get to our room (fine for us, but noting for other travelers who may have limited mobility), but WOW, what a view and cool experience. We saw several monkeys, sloths, and red frogs just walking around the property. The staff took care of all of our needs -- luggage, activities, transportation, etc. The food and drinks deserve their own special category -- nearly all of the ingredients come from the onsite farm -- and are prepared to absolute perfection at each meal. I highly recommend La Loma, if you are willing to step out of the ordinary and experience something completely unique!"

"Loved the TeePee huts in the canopy. Pure relaxation and pristine quiet. Staff was topknotch and always involved with the guests. Worthy of a redo but we will fly into Bocas next time. Driving to Almirante was challenging and lengthy."

"Old Bank is a community of contrasts. The Jamaican heritage was great, people generally friendly, and genuine. The downside was the massive piles of garbage strewn along the walkways and ocean. There were also warnings about safety and thieves on the beaches. Firefly restaurant is a must go for great food and service. It is more expensive, but worth it. Steve is a terrific communicator and obviously loves the people there. Basti is not comfortable for physically challenged, but if you want a different kind of experience, Bastimentos provides. Finally, Steve’s property is, I think, in the best location. Close to everything and on the east side of the island, where the garbage isn’t, but cool breezes are."
