It is a 20 minute drive to the main Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor but the drive is scenic and quaint. Bass Harbor area is quiet but does have a few nice lobster eateries. The gem of our trip was walking 5 minutes and doing the Bass Harbor Nature Cruise. If you stay here, the nature cruise is worth the 2 hours.
