Would 100% recommend
Brilliant stay at the Alpaca Lodge! Julie was very welcoming and we arrived early but this wasnt an issue as we were able to get the keys straight away. The alpacas Lodge was cosy and had everything we needed. We loved the bingo at the Alpacas Arms and feeding the Alpacas. We will definitely be back.

Quaint cabin
Property is clean and comfortable. And the alpacas are wonderful. But no water supply to the cabin for washing up or filling kettle. And separate toilet block..showers £1 for 7 mins I didn't understand the heat/air conditioning air pump, so I was very cold. Weekends are busy with campervans ect..so it wasn't peaceful enough for me, I had to leave earlier than scheduled as I had an emergency at home.

Hi sorry you didnt enjoy your stay but its made very clear that it's Glamping on an adults only campsite as such shared facilities, and other guests, the sink with running hot and cold water for your use was less than 50 feet from the lodge and in 8 years never been an issue for our guests. The heating/ aircon is simple on and off, I explained it on arrival when showing you the lodge and running you through where everything was, Would have been quite happy to show you in depth if you had asked as I did the next morning when I came and asked if everything was ok and you said yes lovely but you had been a bit cold in the night as you didn't understand the heating, I then showed you step by step how to operate the remote control on and off .

Me and my partner had a lovely few days with our two dogs. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and had everything that we needed. Julie was so welcoming and was present on-site should we need anything. Feeding the animals in the morning was the perfect start to the day! The cabin and shower and toilets were spotless. I have rated it 5* however it could be made clearer that you have to pay £1 to use the shower, only because we never carry cash it was a little inconvenient. Minus that, it was the perfect stay and we’re looking to book again soon! Thank you :)

Absolutly stunning Lodge in beautiful grounds with amazing hosts that couldn't do enough for us. Has everything that you could need while your away. Loved it so much we booked to go again while we were still there

Great place to go and get away from it all.

Comfortable lodge, well-equipped and cosy! Great welcoming hosts. Just a really great few days away. Will definitely be going back. They are open 365 days a year!!!

The lodge is very clean and well maintained, as is the rest of the campsite including the toilets and shower. The alpacas are very sweet too and the optional feeding experience is nice too

Lovely relaxing weekend
Really easy checking in as recognised the campsite right away from the photographs. We were greeted straight away by the hosts and they were so friendly- we were invited to feed the alpacas in the morning with Gary and it was a real highlight of the trip. Would recommend to anyone camping in the area

Alpaca your bags and visit!
We had a brilliant time staying at the Alpaca Lodge. It's an incredibly cosy lodge with electricity and crucially heating so you never get cold. Julie let us know the roof is lined with alpaca wool so thoroughly well insulated. As an added treat we even had Xmas Decorations put up. We were able to feed the Alpacas and sheep in the mornings before heading out, Barton and Hull both have plenty to do and are easily accessible by car. There is a large tesco less than 15 mins drove away and blebty of restaurants and bars nearby too. Really enjoyable weekend so thankyou to both Julie and Gary 🙂

Amazing Alpaca Lodge
Everything about this trip was amazing. Gary was such a great host as he met us upon arrival and showed us to the amazing lodge where we stayed for two nights with our miniature dachshund. The pictures do not do this place justice and the views from the lodge are beautiful. We were lucky enough to feed the alpacas one morning which was definitely an experience, Madeira was very vocal! There are various nearby cafes and restaurants and we even got a Chinese takeaway delivered to the lodge door one night. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Julie and Gary for a wonderful stay.

Great experience
Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our time. They were really friendly and the animal experience with Alpacas and Sheep was worth it. The property was so quiet and relaxing and would recommend it to anyone. It was very warm as well despite being middle of October.

Cosey little lodge
The alpaca shack is a very clean, lovely little cabin. Very quiet and relaxing and well worth the money. The hosts were lovely and the alpacas are awsome will definitely be returning again soon :)

Relaxing holiday.
This holiday is perfect for a relaxing getaway as there is not a great deal to do outside of the campsite unless you are willing to drive. Other than that we have enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back. Hosts were lovely and welcoming, the campsite was beautiful and very clean. We really enjoyed the opportunity to get to spend time and feed the alpacas in the morning.

Me and my partner stayed here for a night and loved it. The place was bigger than expected and well worth the money. We were made to feel welcome by the owners when she offered if we wanted to feed the alpacas, we would recommend it to anyone!

Perfect cozy retreat.
We have paid a lot more to stay in a lot less. The lodge had all the mod cons and was beautifully decorated, everything down to the cutlery was presented well. The fairy lights on the porch are a lovely touch. Excellent location for walkers, there’s plenty of coastline, woodland and country side relatively close. Not too much in terms of local amenities, although pub, take-away and train station (nearest town is approx 10 minutes train ride away) are all very close. Getting to feed the alpacas really made our day! Thanks to G+J

gorgeous cabin, comfy bed a pretty place to lay your head all the things that you could need for home from home is guaranteed peace and quiet, super cute clean and tidy all to boot and as if all that were not enough cheeky alpacas - what's not to love!!!!

Our stay was a surprise for my girlfriends birthday and she couldn’t of been more happy. So relaxing and peaceful, the hosts were really nice and helpful, our stay was perfectly finished off with the alpacas having there breakfast right in front of us. Great place.

Amazing quirky wonderful little alpaca shack!
A perfect little home away from home with too many thoughtful touches to mention. Warmest of welcomes and such lovely hosts who clearly care very much about the cabin and their guests. We got a thorough tour of the grounds (ft. cutest alpacas), the cabin and the kitchenette - believe me when I say they have literally thought of everything. The cabin is a huge space compared to many of the other huts / cabins / glamping pods that we have stayed in (of which we have stayed in many and this is quite possibly our absolute favourite!) and is not to be missed. The newly installed gas BBQ is a fab addition and we enjoyed cooking al fresco underneath the fairy lights. Thank you - we will definitely be back soon :-) K & S
