Oceanfront mini home, two decks, with spectacular views.

10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I loved this gem, so much so that we found it hard sometimes to motivate ourselves to leave and explore the surrounding area! From sitting on the deck off the bedroom appreciating the view to snuggling in the detached sunroom during a gale or sitting in the hot tub being amazed by the stars.Did I mention the ocean view? We arrived in the dark. The only indication of the nearby ocean was the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs. In the end, I’m thankful that it worked out that way, because it was such a breathtaking treat that first morning to open the door, walk out on the deck and just be overwhelmed by the beauty of the view!Bryan, the owner, was a very good communicator. This was particularly fortunate since we had a slight snafu on check in when we arrived. The surrounding area isn’t very populated, which suited us fine, but also not too bad a drive from Yarmouth. There’s a great coffee place with good food within a few hundred meters of the property and Comeau’s Farm Market not too far away where we enjoyed buying food for our stay. Some random thoughts: If you can bring a folding garden cart, you’d find it helpful bringing things from the car to the house or from house to sunroom. Also, the stairs up to the bedroom are narrow and steep, which may be difficult for those with mobility issues, especially when it comes to getting luggage up there."

"Very nice location! Easy directions to follow to the exact location. We enjoyed a cocktail overlooking a meadowy stream and watched a couple blue heron hunting. This Jayco is cozy with all the extras we may need. Our host was very kind and prompt for all our inquiries. Recommend this property to many!"

"Trailer was super cozy nestled against the lake, in a very quiet area. I loved getting up early and enjoying a coffee by the water. It was very clean, owners were very helpful. We never ended up using Kayak or the hot tub but they were accessable and looked clean to us."

“Tiny Three” (Private Hot Tub)

"Property was lovely, they’d added even more amenities than when we booked, it was wonderful. My only suggestion is to write down your check in code or the wifi BEFORE you get there, we had no service until we were able to access wifi so couldn’t access any messages to reach out, thankfully we saw another guest after 10-15mins and they gave us the wifi. Other than that the stay was lovely."

Beautiful Hilltop Waterfront cottage, private getaway, quiet lake front cottage

Beautiful Hilltop Waterfront cottage, private getaway, quiet lake front cottage

8/10 Good
"The cottage is beautiful. The location is spectacular. Here are my concerns: 1. smoke detector/CO2 detector were functional.2. Although a BBQ was advertised....no BBQ.3. Unable to lock the cabin as no code was given for secure key system on door.4. No advance information about the access to the loft - a ladder!5. no firewood wood stove and fire pit although it was promised.6. 4 towels for 3 adults & a child for 6 days. no face clothes. that's scant.7. There is virtually no lighting in the bathroom. All the lights are so dim that they are useless.8. The WIFI password in the information booklet was incorrect. 9. 2 emails sent to Devon by email prior to trip. no response to date. 10. The play area is on an old deck that is rotten. My granddaughter fell through and had some nasty scratches. Lucky it was not a more serious injury.12, no garbage cans in bedrooms. no garbage or recycle bags.As I said, the cottage itself is wonderful. Beds and linens great. The kitchen is well stocked. The furniture is in good condition and comfortable. The waterfront has a lovely sitting area. paddleboat was fun. I think the owner just needs to review his advertising ( mention the ladder), update the WIFI password, keep in touch with clients, remove the old rotten deck, more towels. supply firewood, fix the smoke/c02 detectors, supply garbage/recycle bags."
