"This was one of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed in. There is a river that runs through the property with heaps of areas and seats to lounge around it. They put on the fire pit every night which is such a treat. There’s so many activities, like bingo, quiz nights, karaoke ect. The hostel was social but it wasn’t too loud in the rooms. The rooms were spacious, clean and we loved our room. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they ran most of the daily hiking adventures which was a treat. The daily breakfasts were scrambled eggs, a fried bread thing and a sausage onion mix, so filling and delicious. They had daily yoga (except Sunday and Monday I think) which was a perfect way to start the day or finish it. The yoga area also has some small free weights which was nice for a self lead session. I loved having a morning coffee on the swinging benches near the river every morning. That’s another thing, free coffee from 6am every morning, help yourself!"

"The staff were friendly and polite, listened to our requests and offered help when needed, such as arranging transportation to and from the hotel, but communication between the staff was sometimes a problem. For example, there is an amenity offered by the hotel in which guests can request drink delivery every morning to their room, including type of drink and delivery time. Twice we did not receive drinks when we had requested them. We had to follow up to receive them. The grounds, tours and activities offered by the hotel are amazing, such as their coffee tour, and the meals offered in their restaurant were very good. Our room was okay, very basic in terms of comfort and amenities, but our bathroom had some issues, including a shower whose doors did not fully close, and a toilet that ‘shrieked’ when flushed. It was repaired twice while we were there, but the problem was not resolved. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay there, but better communication between the staff would help with services being provided in the best possible way."

"This was no fault of the host, but Waze took us past the point and was telling us to drive up a heavy gravel construction road. YIKES! But once we located the right place, check in was smooth. The room was not thoroughly clean as there was an obvious spill under the couch and a small black wooly caterpillar, there was also a Tupperware bowl that had mold growing in it. We washed all dishes before use. Addtionally, the mattress covered had a deep stain that was visible through the fitted sheet. The best part of the property is the location is within walking distance to the heart of downtown Boquete. But the views from the balcony are not good."

"Leon was very communicative throughout the booking. We STRONGLY recommend meeting Leon in the town for transportation or escort up to the lodge for initial arrival. It is a very steep climb. The path gets smaller as you go higher. There are no signs letting you know if you are on the right track. Our navigation told us we had arrived when we still had further to go. We rented a 4X4 in Panama City specifically for this booking. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE the climb up to the location. It is very difficult for someone not familiar with the area."
