Enjoyed a swim to cool off after travelling. Had a clean and tidy room, nothing fancy with a spa bath but it didn't work so it was just a big bath, still good because I don't have one at home. New owners first day - friendly and helpful - when we mentioned the spa bath not working said they were planning repairs and renovations but no offer of discount given that we paid extra for this room. They had us pay on arrival which I have never had to do before. Nice spacious room with good layout. Pool looked nice and surrounding areas were pleasant. Curtains could run better on tracks but my two main issues were that soundproofing needs work. I could hear every conversation from the adjoining rooms. There is a resident cat, which was not made known, and spent a good deal of time outside my room. I have a life threatening allergy to cats. This made me upset. The room was meant to have been updated at some stage but I don’t know when as apart from having a flat screen tv it was very dated. There was signs in our rooms with pics of their breakfast saying it was the best in town which made it a bit weird. We didn’t eat there.
