Main Description South Sandpark Cottage offers peace and tranquillity in quiet corner of North Devon. The cottage can sleep up to 4 guests in two-bedrooms (plus cot) and is well suited for guests looking for a relaxing rural retreat with beautiful countryside spanning as far as the eye can see! The owners' geese, ducks and hens are free-range around the pretty garden. This is a superb location for an 'escape to the country' or for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Adjacent to the kitchen is the sitting area with a comfortable sofa and an electric fire, providing a relaxing space to unwind. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area leads into a cosy sitting room, furnished with two sofas, an armchair, TV, and a second electric 'log' fire, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The exposed beams add character to this traditional cottage. Upstairs, the cottage has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and views over the garden, and the other with twin beds, making it ideal for both couples and families. The bathroom comprises a bath with a handheld shower head attachment (due to the low ceiling), plus a toilet and wash basin. Heating and electricity are included in the price of your stay. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience, and free WiFi is available throughout the cottage. Outdoor Description There is a large patio/courtyard with picnic table and bench directly beside the cottage (not enclosed), and this area is for guests' sole use. The wider gardens at the property are also available for guests to use and are shared with the owners who live next door. You may find free-range ducks and chickens in the gardens, so please ensure your dogs are under your control at all times. There is also an allocated, fully enclosed dog walking field on-site. Parking Parking is available beside the cottage for two cars. There is additional parking available should it be needed. Pets Description Two well behaved dogs welcome (or more by negotiation). There is an allocated dog-walking field just beyond the shared gardens. Please do not leave your dogs alone in the property and please make sure they are under your control outside as the owners have geese, chickens and ducks roaming free. Restricted mobility This has not been completed by the owner. Exit in case of emergency There are fire extinguishers and fire blankets in the property. If possible, guests should leave the property through the cottage entrance in the event of a fire. If the cottage entrance is not accessible, it is possible to leave through one of the upper windows in an emergency. Christmas / New Year The cottage will be decorated with lights and a tree during the Christmas and New Year period.
