The restoration preserved its rustic charm while adding comfort. Set in a beautiful, peaceful rural area next to a lily-covered pond, the house offers modern amenities, a covered barbecue area, and a private pool. The property is easily accessible, just 12 km from Póvoa de Varzim, its beaches, and the A28 motorway connecting Porto to Caminha. Barcelos is also 12 km away, and Apúlia beach is just 5 km from the house. Please note, there are many steps both inside and outside. The house is secluded, next to a pond with ducks, frogs, and various birds. You may hear typical village sounds such as dogs, cats, and tractors, and notice rural scents. Charging electric cars or campervans is not allowed. Parties are not permitted. Please inform the host in advance if you wish to bring pets. Pets are allowed on request and for an extra fee. Lots of very helpful local recommendations and friendly welcome. On the positive this is a quirky characterful property and is blessed with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. It is in a very rural location as described which was nice. The BBQ outside is good and the gardens are well kept. We enjoyed our stay but the kitchen and cleanliness of the property let it down a bit. We like to cook and the kitchen needs modernisation. The oven was broken and the hob is old and works but not well. The main area needs a bit of a deep clean. A short drive gets you to lovely beaches and local restaurants. We recommend the Apúlia beach and Barcelos (parking is tricky there but a beautiful town). ##### Antony D.
