We have been coming to the island for 40 years. We feel this condo unit is overpriced for what you get in terms of location and ammenities. The condo itself was nicely decorated, it was clean and there was everything you need in the kitchen. Comfortable seating, although the lighting is very dim!! AC in every room was appreciated!! Housekeeping staff were very friendly and attentive! Unfortunately, we had issues with the en-suite shower. After 3 minutes the bathroom was flooded. Safety issues with shower design and slippery tiles. Management responded quickly when we notified them and a plumber came the next morning. Drainage issues continued during our stay. The washing machine which was listed in the property profile was not operstional. All ground-floor units in this complex have direct access to the pool. All other units need to go down the back stairs and walk outside around the building to reach the pool. The area appears to not have fully recovered since Covid. Many popular establishments have closed down. Public transportation in very close!

The unit was nothing like what is shown in the pictures. Mold in the shower, tape keeping kitchen cupboards together, no soap or shampoo. We arrived from the airport only to find 2 bathrooms without any soap to wash one's hands. I would be we stay here again. Barbados is beautiful but this apartment was a total fail.

Thank you for staying with us and taking time to write a review. As communicated during your stay, we manage a number of units at Lantana. Whilst all units have identical facilities and amenities, they are individually furnished – therefore online images encompass several units.We further explained that the small piece of laminate on the panel for the dishwasher was worn. This has since been replaced as it was an item that had to be shipped from overseas. This did not affect the dishwasher function or impact the comfort of your stay. The insufficient soaps and shampoos were rectified and continued to be replenished during your stay.

Lovely comfortable apartment
Apartment was very clean and beds very comfortable. I would suggest more clothes hangers in all bedrooms, would be good to have dressing table and chair in some bedrooms and shelves in the bathroom for cosmetics creams etc. Kitchen was great perhaps provide big salad bowls. Lovely staff and security available from 6 pm.

Flavour of the neighbourhood
If you like to have an experience of the geography of the place you are visiting, this resort is it! It gave me the impression that I was living in Barbados at the same time as being very comfortable. Loved the vibe of the location. Wifi was impeccable and bus stop super close. Walking in either direction provided us with literally every thing we needed.

Really liked the view of the ocean from our unit. Mrs M. the lady that came in to clean for us, was exceptionally sweet. The unit itself was nice, we really liked it, however to no fault of anyone, the shower backed up and flooded the room and the tiles in the hallway popped and cracked, was a bit disconcerting. Other than those two incidences it was quite nice place to stay.

Really nice and cozy place
The stay was wonderful. The pool was nice and heated, the rooms were pretty much sound proof and there was a great freshness to the room. The patio was a great place to relax and have some fresh air. The only drawbacks were there seemed to be quite a few mosquitos and flies about. I don't know the reason why but they were great in number and left me and my partner with significant bites. Overall though I would say this is a good getaway .

I enjoyed this location cleanliness the only negative not having a full shower glass while showering water was going on the floor. Ensure to go shopping before you settle in at Massey supermarket if you don’t you can always go to Simeons Bajan and kitchen beach on Hwy1B.

Convenient position on West Coast.
We were very pleased with the apartment but it was the lack of information from the time of booking plus being given the wrong code to access the apartment which spoilt the lead up to and beginning of our holiday. From the moment we booked the lack of communication regarding our booking made me doubt that we had one at all. Twice I rang Homeaway support who confirmed our booking was sound and was through Expedia. This was all news to me. Also there were 2 taxes we had to pay on the island which we hadn’t been notified of. All in all what should have been a time of looking forward to a special holiday was spoilt by doubt that our booking was sound. I will not book through Homeaway again but will go to the Lantana Resort in Weston but will book direct with Island Villa Holidays.

Staff was great friendly and reaponsevj. The property condition could have been better. Air in master failed for two days. Washer dryer was out of service. The drains were slow. Master shower so slow had to wait during shower to keep from over flowing Water pressure in second bath very weak. We were harassed by a drug dealer on the beach across the street from unit Not the resort fault.

Great spot, close to bus transportation, pool was nice, apartment was great, deck looks out to the ocean and overtop of the pool. Really glad that we chose this spot instead of a hotel. 5 mins to holetownish by busses which run frequently (not as frequently after 8pm).

Booked a 4 bedroom and a 2 bedroom for 8 people. Room were specious clean and comfortable. Kitchens were well equipped. Only negative were towels were not changed on stipulated day.

yes nice hotel , nice beach 5 minutes walk
perfect hotel if you just want relax , $1dollar (blue bus) take you anywhere.(don't take the yellow bus) crazy ...we got our vows renewed on the beach and Ms .Leah Browne from Lantana , did everything to be perfect ! fish market (5 minutes) I went at 6 am , 3 times and the local fishserman they cook a big fly fish for me for $7,00 US , great people !! need car if want to party in night away from hotel.Hotel room have everything to cook ,we have the fish every night great...perfect to relax ,we r in our 60s !! good for the money ..need to rent chairs and umbrella on the beach , we have 2 chairs ,umbrella and 2 beers !! for $20,00 us

Very basic. Fridge and washer drier not working. ,Very small double bed. No air conditioning in lounge. No reception or entertainment on site. On third floor with no elevator and no one to assist with luggage. On arrival there was very inadequate seating - 1 couch for a unit designed for 6 people. After complaining another couch was brought in. Poor standard of bed linen and bathrooms could do with up grade. On plus side excellent staff who are doing a great job with a 2nd class product. Good wi fi, good air con in bedrooms.

The condo was ideal for our family; very spacious and clean. The people working at the resort were very friendly and helpful. Although there is no “front desk” that is staffed 24 hrs, there is always a security guard on duty after hours. We arrived after hours and the security guard walked us to our unit, gave us our keys and all the info we needed, and also gave us some great recommendations for dinner. The only “downside” is that the resort is not conveniently located for walking to beaches and restaurants. We had a rental car, so that was not an issue for us.

Short Vacation
The hotel was pleasant in appearance. The housemaid was great and extremely pleasant. Close to bus stop which made it convenient for travel. Bed was not the most comfortable to sleep in although it provided plenty of room. What I most disliked about it was the curfew imposed on guest. Other than that it is a very nice place with very pleasant staff.

Spacious Condos
Concierge, Juanita was very accommodating to our late night arrival. Rented a four bedroom unit for 8 people for 3 nights then moved to a three bedroom for an additional 3 nights when half of our party departed. Housekeeper, Shemone, made sure our luggage and groceries were moved into our new room, we didn't have to wait around and lose a day of vacation in order to check in. Condos are privately owned, so the layout and amenities provided were different in both. Both contained full kitchens (with necessary amenities), washer and dryer (leftover detergent/dryer sheets from previous guests). There's not much to do at the resort (only pool, cable & WiFi) but we're sightseers so it didn't bother us. Would definitely rent again in the future for large group trips If you don't plan on renting a car it may be too far from the airport (shuttle/taxi service is expensive) and some excursion companies don't pick up in that area or they charge extra.

Living amongst the locals
Lantana is between Holetown and Speightstown and they are self catering 3 storey apartments. We were in the back units which are nice and quiet. We were on the ground floor which was okay but we would have preferred a higher unit. The pool is small but very clean. The beds were quite firm with two twins pushed together to form a king. I'm not sure if other units are the same. We did not have a car so we used the buses to get around but there is a beautiful beach just down the road called Reeds bay. When the tide is out you can also walk all the way to Mullins beach. There are local family friendly places to eat which we discovered, Marcie's, Wandas on the Beach, de Outback which we could walk to. We felt very safe with walking around and the local people were very friendly and kind. The Lantana is nestled amongst the people of Barbados so you get a real life experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly at the Lantana. There is St Albans school across the street and we enjoyed the sounds of children playing and seeing them in their cute uniforms. There is a fruit stand, fish market down the street and John Moore's pub for happy hour and sunset.

Just back from a wonderful two weeks at Lantana. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The flat was bright and nicely furnished, The kitchen was well equipped. It was close to the beach although across a busy road.

Great apartmemts. Nicely located and very comfortable. Staff and service was great. Everyone super helpful. Front apartments have good views but a lottle noisy as an inportant street is between the beach and apartments. If you can deal woth a few buses and cars i highly recommend it. If you rent a car this is a great place to go

Home away from home resort
We were at Lantana for Barbados Independence celebration. Lantana Resort has the feeling of home away from home. Great cleanliness, modern facility, well equipped units, friendly, proficient and professional staff. Very secured resort. Public transportation is just outside the resort. Car rentals can be arranged by the resort for you. This was my 2nd stay here and I would recommend it to my family and friends. We had a Very nice maid room 310.

Nice apartments close to beach and town
We stayed here for 10 days. It's a nice place, not an hotel but small apartments for self catering in two blocks, think there were 45 apartments altogether with two swimming pools. We had a double apartment with balcony overlooking one of the swimming pools. The apartment was fully equipped: bath with shower head, safe, air con and ceiling fans in lounge and bedroom, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, outside clothes airer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, fridge, oven/hob, hairdryer, tv, wi-fi, phone (local calls are free). We arrived on a Saturday and was immediately shown to our apartment by a member of staff who showed us how everything worked and gave us contact phone numbers should we need them. Staff do not work weekends and there is no Reception, there is a security guard on the gate overnight. The same member of staff came to the apartment every weekday morning and asked if we required any housekeeping. Being on the main west coast road we did find it rather noisy if you were sitting outside or had the doors open although as the buses stopped outside it was handy for a bus ride to anywhere along the coast, $2BD any distance, but if you wanted to venture inland to visit any of the attractions etc I would suggest a hire car. The nearest main beach (Mullins) is the place to go. We walked there, part along the road and part along the beach. Here there is a beach bar/restaurant, sun beds for hire, a roped off area for swimming, sea activities.

It was perfect. Better than expected. Only surprise was that there was no real lobby/reception area. otherwise it was fantastic. Spacious and comfortable rooms, great views of the ocean from huge balconies. All the amenities that we needed. Will definitely be back.

I was booked for a queen bed got a twin plus. Room 36 also have a large trunk one large and small sofa along with a long breakfast table which take up a lot of space. Compact refigarator with mini ice tray. And the air conditioner go off all the time.

Great apartment complex in friendly community
Lantana resort is located in the community of Weston and this really adds to the enjoyable experience. Within a short walk of the complex can be found excellent beaches, a great rum shack and an excellent restaurant, Bo's Plaice, right on the beach. We really enjoyed spending time locally without need for a car. However, within a short drive, or bus ride, are Holetown, Speightstown and Mullins Beach.
