Baoding Pangu Village Natural Park

The hotel was in an excellent location and the Hutons around the hotel provided excellent food and drink options. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. The only downside was that the rooms were small with very limited storage. There was no wardrobe in our room, only 1 small cupboard and 1 small open bedside unit, this meant that there was virtually nowhere to put clothes. Apart from that the bathroom was a wet room as opposed to having a separate shower but that was no problem.

Pros: The hotel is located in a safe area and is relatively close to many of Beijing’s iconic attractions. Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is just one street away, which is a big plus for shopping and dining. Other major sites like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, and Shichahai are all reachable within a 30-minute drive. The hotel itself is quite new, which adds to the sense of cleanliness and comfort. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and the service was consistently good. For the location and overall quality, the rental price is very reasonable. Cons: The room was very small, it can hardly fit a 24-inch luggage without blocking the walkway, which may be uncomfortable if you're travelling with a lot of luggage or staying for several days. There’s no public parking at the hotel, so if you're being picked up or dropped off, you’ll need to walk about 50 meters to meet your driver. Amenities are limited—while laundry is free, it’s handled through a single home-style washing machine shared by all guests. Also, there are few convenience stores or affordable restaurants nearby, so you might need to go a bit further for basic shopping or inexpensive meals. Overall: This hotel is a solid choice for travellers who want a clean, modern, and budget-friendly place to stay with easy access to key sights. It’s ideal for those who prioritize location and safety over room size and in-house facilities.

The hotel was pleasant and featured a well-sized bar, offering a comfortable space to unwind. However, the evening buffet restaurant was overpriced, and the buffet selection was disappointing, with half of the six or so dishes simply reheated from breakfast. On the other hand, the breakfast spread was much better, providing a far more satisfying start to the day.
