Friendly staff & clean hotel but not the best hotel for people in their 20s , 30s & 40s ; the hotel was catered to elderly retired . Location is far from everything, including the main airport (in Vieux Fort), expect to pay $80-$100 for cab services. Although an all inclusive, they make you pay for bottled water & chips & remember to bring a toothbrush & toothpaste, they’re not free . You must ask for an adapter for your electronics because depending on where you’re coming from (me it was the USA-Ny) their outlet won’t not compatible with your plug / adapters. The room which I stayed in had a lock indoor and outdoor, the indoor lock was very outdated and required your room key , locking and unlocking the door was a hassle do to a frame infront of the indoor lock. There’s no mini fridge readily available in rooms, you’d have to request one. A lot of older retired people are here & it’s a very quiet hotel with not much to do other than pool activities & dine. The hotel itself is beautiful & the people are friendly but I will not recommend this hotel to friends / coworkers & I will not stay at Bel Jou Hotel my next trip in St. Lucia.

Fantastic stay at The Ladera. A real romantic stay with an open view across the pitons. The scenery was amazing and the resort continues to add and renovate extra features for you to explore. We loved the on-site nature trail and we didn't have a bad meal for our entire stay. We were well looked after and always greeted by name. Well done Ladera and staff!

The rooms have zero soundproofing as completely open to nature and the busy, noisy road close by. Difficult to sleep at night with all the traffic and animals noises. Recommend it for a few nights, but no more than 2-3 max

Amazing views amazing staff and wonderful food in an intimate boutique style environment

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Bay Garden Beach Resort. It has everything you would expect from a large resort, just on a smaller scale. Pool, activities, spa, bars and bistro/cafe and the beach, with water park! The resort is conveniently located on the most beautiful stretch of beach St Lucia has to offer, close to the marina for boating excursions and a short boat taxi ride away from the Rodney Bay Fort and incredible - we got a picnic lunch packed for us for that 1/2 excursion. The reason BGBR is not excellent is the sometimes very slow dining experience for lunch and dinner, as well as the repeat of the same dinner options 3 nights in a row. Breakfast buffet is great. The only other thing, one of the entertainers went from fun easy low volume dinner music to all out club music and volume during dinner time, before 9pm. Still a great place to stay when visiting St Lucia.

This was a beautiful property for enjoying my last two days in Saint Lucia. Unfortunately I had no power for about 7 hours upon my first day which resulted in me missing my school course online. However, it eventually got restored. Room was nice and clean. Reception staff was amazing, and so was staff in doolittles restaurant which is attached to the resort. My only complaint was the security guard Ian, at first he was friendly and nice but then it turned creepy. Every time I would walk by him he kept saying he wanted to see me tonight and wanted to see me later and hopes he sees me. This was too much for me and made me extremely uncomfortable as a solo female traveller that I wouldn’t be out of my room once it got dark due to this. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay.
