Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not only was our condo clean and comfortable, but the staff went above and beyond to take care of us. We missed the last lift back up one day, and they came all the way down to give us a ride to our condo! Very grateful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check-in was simple, code for the entryway worked with no issues. Very clean! Plenty of space with almost everything you'll need in the kitchen. Bed was in good condition overall. Games available which the kids loved. The view was great and they also have a bumper pool table in the dining room although it's a little lopsided (makes it more challenging and fun actually!) Check-out was easy as well. We are going to be coming back many more times, and hope to stay in this specific room and with this rental company as it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this company as well as this unit.

Nice little condo for a romantic getaway

Sugar Mountain is a wonderful vacation destination. We had great skiing during the day, took a walk thru the neighborhood to the mountain top in the evening, made dinner at the condo and listened to a book on tape by the fire in the night. Very romantic.Pros: Beautiful space. Great views from the porch/windows. Ski slope and lift at the facility. Kitchen stocked with all necessary basic amenities. Fireplace.Cons: Mattress was nice, pillows were not great. Loft area was uncomfortably warm for sleeping. Using the small fan in the closet to blow air back downstairs helped. Rental company charged me the $45 rental insurance to my card without permission. I stated I would pay the deposit, the office was closed upon my arrival and when I awoke the next morning my card had been charged the insurance fee without my consent.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My girlfriend and I came for a long weekend right before Valentine's Day and had a blast. Our condo was right next to the mountain so it made getting up and out the door to ski that much easier. I won't hesitate to book SS&CC for our next trip.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed in a 1 bedroom unit as opposed to a hotel for work in town. Should have stayed in a hotel. My unit was not very clean. There was hair all over the bathroom, in the sink, on the vanity, on the floor, and on the "clean" towels. There was broken glass from a broken light bulb in the bedroom, indicating the floor was not vacuumed. No coffee in the kitchen. A bunch of power cords hanging right in front of the heater, which had a big sticker stating no power cords should be in front of it. Some lights were burnt out. The size of the unit was nice and the view was spectacular. Overall not worth the cost.

Hottest weekend of the summer

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Management was very friendly and helpful but the buildings don't have AC. Not that you need it a lot on top of the mountain, however this weekend I did. Previous reviews said the tv in the bedroom didn't and still doesn't, not that it made any difference as I couldn't sleep up there. It was oppressively hot, the layout is cute, bedroom in an open loft. Unfortunately, there was no way to open any windows upstairs and your bed is at the highest point of the condo. I'm sure it's a great place for skiing but I won't be using it for summer travel. It did have some beautiful views.

There were games to play for snow/fog/lazy days. Short walk to the slopes. Kitchen was tight but served its purpose for a long weekend. Bedroom TV was not connected and did not pick up anything if a TV is something you need but I'm sure that's a quick fix. I would choose to stay there again. Don't forget to have dinner at the Bayou Grill.

A bit Hodge podge in the kitchen with the utensils, but we made it work. It was nice that it really was a full kitchen, with an oven and dishwasher. We loved the hot tub and pool, but wish it was open later so night skiers can enjoy it too. I would stay here again.

The place was warm, cozy and close to the slopes. It's a bit dated but no major issues there but a few minor repairs are in order. On the down side, we'd asked them to avoid fragrances due to environmental sensitivities and they DID NOT! It was very strong. We had to air the place out well or my wife would have been very sick.

Outdated Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sugar Ski and Country Club would be an ideal location for a sequel to Hot Tub Time Machine, as it feels like everything is from 1985 with nothing upgraded or improved. I left with the same impression of the ski resort and it seemed like other rentals in the area may be no different. I think they had the first microwave ever made in this unit, and the rest of the kitchen wasn't any better. Oh, and the Xbox they advertised didn't work either. The location on top has good views of the surrounding mountains if the weather cooperates, but this particular unit isn't really ski in ski out as advertised. Their map is misleading. They don't seem to make any snow on Oma's meadows anyway, so that didn't matter. We didn't expect this to be Colorado and N.C is drivable and cheaper, but the savings isn't worth the experience. The people at the front desk were very friendly, one positive. The indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna were nice, but again very dated in appearance.
