The oversized covered front porch stretches over 65 feet wide and serves as the heart of the home, offering ample space to gather, dine, or simply take in the incredible mountain views. Just steps away, the private hot tub and backyard fire pit create the perfect atmosphere for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Inside, the cabin comfortably sleeps up to eight guests and features soaring cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area is designed for bringing people together, anchored by a striking stone wood-burning fireplace, comfortable seating, and a smart TV for relaxing evenings. The updated kitchen is bright and well-appointed, featuring white tiled walls and backsplash, a modern stove hood, and a large stone island with bar seating for three perfect for preparing meals, entertaining, or enjoying a casual breakfast before heading out for the day.

The thoughtfully designed layout includes a king ensuite bedroom with a walk-in closet, recently renovated private bath with tub and shower, and direct access to the porch and hot tub, allowing you to step outside and take in the mountain air at any time. A queen bedroom and full shared recently renovated bathroom are also located on the main level. Weekend trip

Inside of the cabin is stunning and a great layout. It was very clean when we got there and had everything we needed. The driveway is very tight so be aware if you have a large vehicle it's tight to turn around. The bed is memory foam and you have an option of a beautiful room with a queen which I wish had the king because it is a great room and a king in the very back, also a nice room but that front queen really is lovely.

Details Matter

The house was very nice, and comfortable. We would consider staying again. But… the window sills need cleaning (especially over kitchen sink. The shower in primary bedroom needs more water pressure. And, the view of Grandfather (himself) is becoming blocked by tree growth more than website depictions.

Did the trick, not amazing

The cabin was did the trick for a weekend stay, but the listing made it look MUCH nicer than it actually was. Bathrooms felt grungy and the drive up was very steep and road was unpaved. Fire pit and backyard area were unusable. We were planning on doing s’mores, etc but didn’t have any desire to go back there. Place was clean-ish, but felt like they could give it more attention especially the outdoor areas. No laundry either from what I could see?? Check in process was easy and it’s a good proximity to Boone and banner elk. But nothing special. Probably wouldn’t book again.
