About this property

Charming Mountain Retreat Near Banner Elk

  • **Welcome to Hemlock Ridge Retreat**

Hemlock Ridge Retreat is a classic mountain retreat located just minutes from downtown Banner Elk. This prime location puts you close to local restaurants, shops, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Valle Crucis, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Boone and Blowing Rock are also a short drive away, making it an excellent home base for exploring the High Country.

With three levels of comfortable living space, Hemlock Ridge Retreat offers everything you love about a traditional mountain getaway—beautiful wood floors, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, warm wood interiors, and a peaceful wooded setting. The main-level living room features a stacked-stone wood burning fireplace and comfortable seating, opening up to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and a center island, while the raw-edge wood dining table adds to the cabin's rustic charm.

Large windows throughout the cabin allow for plenty of natural light while still keeping the home nestled in the woods. Step outside onto the spacious deck to enjoy the serene surroundings and take in mountain views through the trees, including a nearby peak.

The main-level king bedroom is accompanied by a well-appointed bathroom featuring a large tiled shower and a unique stone floating sink. Upstairs, a spacious loft provides a cozy place to relax with comfortable seating, books, and card tables, as well as another king bedroom.

Downstairs, family fun continues in a comfortable family room with a TV and a ping pong table. The lower-level deck boasts a hot tub surrounded by the tranquil wooded setting, while two additional bedrooms include another king bedroom and a bunk room with a twin-over-queen bunk bed.

Hemlock Ridge Retreat is an excellent choice for families and friends seeking a comfortable mountain escape with classic cabin character, ample space to spread out, and a convenient location to enjoy the best of Banner Elk and the High Country. After a day on the slopes, a hike, or an afternoon of exploring the area, settle in for a cozy evening together.

**Please note:** TV service is streaming only. No pets are allowed. A security camera monitors the driveway. During the winter months (October through March), we strongly recommend using a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle. Chains may be necessary in snowy or icy conditions. The gravel driveway is pull-through and there is one additional parking space just past the house.
