"This property is both "retro" and modern, with lots of nice touches. The Over Yonder restaurant is located in the lobby, and it has very good upscale Southern fare. The only thing to note about this place is they don't have breakfast for free or for purchase, with the exception that the Over Yonder restaurant has brunch from 10 am to noon on Saturday and Sunday. There are fridges in the room, and a microwave in the lounge. This is a great base to explore the area, and has a lot of character. It's a lot more fun than a Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn type place (if you don't need a pool and gym and free breakfast)."

"This is a beautiful little cabin in a nice setting. When we first arrived the hummers buzzed me each time I went to the car to for the load in. The screen porch was a great place for sitting and thinking or enjoying a beverage. Our two Russell terriers loved it as well.The kitchen is well appointed with nice appliances and everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would have liked to try out the fireplace, but it was a little too warm. Speaking of which the AC worked great to keep the cabin comfortable.The one thing the cabin lacked is a fence around the yard for our dogs. We don't let them out unleashed so they weren't able to run. We knew that beforehand so were prepared to deal with it. Paul was easy to get hold of and we exchanged texts a few times. The one drawback is our GPS unit at times was completely confused on the secondary and tertiary roads, not uncommon in the NC mountains."
