"Everything was great. We stayed for one night then relocated to another ryokan in Aizu 50 minutes away for two nights based on other reviews. This ryokan was in a residential area and a short walk of the train station. The other was in a samurai town that required a short ride via taxi. Can take the bus with multiple stops or set up a prearranged ground transport that uses a van."

"Staff were excellent. Very friendly and were excited to promote Aizuwakamatsu and the Fukushima mascot, Akabeko. Helped me by moving me to a non-smoking room after I had mistakenly booked a smoking room. Breakfast was okay, and free. Parking is on-site via a mechanical tower. One elevator for 11 floors - the elevator is often crowded, with a queue sometimes. My only problem was that the rooms are not soundproofed, the other guests on my floor were extremely noisy and could be heard through the walls and shouting in the corridoor."

"This was a nice hotel located very close to aizuwakamatsu station. It was dated- the bathroom was clean, but had a kind of old smell. The air conditioning didn’t work well, but it was cool enough to open the window. There were no laundry facilities, but there was a coin laundry pretty close by. We were given drink vouchers for each night’s stay but we didn’t use them because we felt underdressed for the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful- we transferred luggage and they were very helpful with that. Close to a 7-eleven and restaurants were nearby. Overall a nice stay and would stay again if going to the Aizu area."
