The cottage is Grade II listed and has been converted from an old coach house. The village is located on the Oxfordshire cycleway and connects areas of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage is built from local Horton stone and retains many exposed walls within, along with exposed original beams. Outside there is a patio with garden table and chairs and off road parking. So a change of towels and sheets would have been nice. Parking outside the cottage or on the road is available. The cottage is quiet, warm (maybe a little too warm in the summer) especially in the bedroom. I am 5ft 4inches and the bedroom and bathroom beams in the ceiling are very low for me, so be warned if you are tall. The mattress is very soft and not for anyone with any back issues. The kitchen has all the equipment you may require, but a simple welcome pack may be nice (like milk) as the nearest shop is five miles away. The cottage information was very brief and the restaurants and pubs outdated as a number of them had closed a few years ago. A refresh of this In for some would be helpful, with some local tourist information would be a nice touch.
