Cal and his wife did an absolute great job setting up this rental. They were extremely helpful at helping us find local hot spots and extremely accommodating. The place was immaculately clean. Cal and Colleen could not have been more gracious, accommodating, or kind! The suite was perfectly equipped and comfortable. The library was amazing, full of informative books. My wife and I recently stayed here while we were in town visiting our daughter, her husband and our the grand kids. We were very happy with its convenient location and beautiful outdoor space. The entrance at the back of the house is adjacent to a beautiful and well-maintained garden, complete with a peaceful pond and a clean, inviting pool. The outdoor seating area was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Sitting and listening to the birds while we had coffee was a highlight. The interior was just as welcoming, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cal and Colleen were attentive and considerate, ensuring that our stay went well. It's perfect for the two of us. Colleen and Cal have a beautiful home and yard. We enjoyed the back patio and garden with our morning coffee, listening to the birds. The guest suite is near the Trolley Trail, which is also great for birding! We walked the Trolley Trail to historic Ellicott City. Had lunch at The Trolley Stop. Thanks, Cal and Colleen, for another lovely time. It was short but sweet this year. As long as our kids are located in Baltimore, this is are great spot for us to stay! We liked almost everything about this property and our stay. The location was convenient to our area event, and very close to a wonderful variety of restaurants. The suite was an addition to a historical brick house, with lots of info on its history and that of the area. The tv and sound system were outstanding. It was quiet and peaceful. We would have liked a bit more space in the bathoom, but we know compromises are sometimes necessary with additions. More lighting in the tv room would be nice, and the pillows provided on the comfortable bed were thin and unsupportive. Many bring their.own, and we meant to, but forgot.
