Breathtaking views and all the necessities made this vibrant villa our
own piece of paradise. As we walked into the home, the open floor plan
showcased high ceilings and plenty of space. The large kitchen
counter, the dining area or the small sitting nook gave everyone a
place to sit, relax and have a beverage, a light lunch, or even cook a
full meal. We were two families of four, and the kitchen was stocked
with all the serving items and appliances we needed. There were
massive screen doors from the kitchen which lead to the spacious patio
with ceiling fans and a superb view of the forest and ocean. The
couches were beyond comfortable, and it was the perfect place to watch
the toucans fly during my morning coffee or an afternoon nap during a
rain shower. Also on the main level was the spectacular pool. High
sliding doors opened from the kitchen and you went straight to the
pool deck, with an infinity pool built on the mountain with
breathtaking views of everything beautiful about Costa Rica. During
the day, we kept the house wide open with breezes and views galore. At
night, we snuggled in our comfy beds and cooled off our two bedrooms
with the air conditioning units. That’s not all! On the downstairs
level, there are two more bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a
kitchen/dining area. We kicked the teenagers out and gave them their
own pad, and my son said, “Mom, this is amazing!” They LOVED having a
place all their own so they could get away from the adults for a bit
and sleep in every morning as most teens do. The area surrounding the
home on the mountain is great for nature hikes and we did see wildlife
in the mornings. The town of Dominicalito and Dominical gave us warm
hospitality and simple charm, and there was so much to do that we
wished we could stay longer. Please note that you do need a 4x4 car
for the steep, curvy climb to the house, and it’s hard to find at
night, so arrive during daylight. This was the home of a lifetime with
breathtaking views, lots of local wildlife and a small-town flair that
we would definitely visit again…you’ll never want to leave!
