Not many places around that are this close to the beach. There's a washer/dryer, it was clean, there's warm water, toiletries included, and clean linens and plenty of towels. What could be better: replacing the downstairs shower curtain (it was ripping and mostly disconnected from the rod); communication (Kevin is great, just not readily available); the kitchen sink was sort of hanging with space between the counter that water was coming out of (if you're careful you can avoid this); the fans don't have adjustable settings which can be annoying during sleep; there was no tea kettle; there wasn't much silverware; there was only a large pot to cook in, nothing small/frying pans; there were no check in instructions; it could use an outdoor fan and an outdoor shower (we were told we could use the connecting property's outdoor shower, but we didn't want to disturb the guests there). Overall we recommend, and would come back because it's a beach house right on the amazing beach! Also, we'd left an expensive charger and our host met us in Uvita to return! Fabulous!! ##### Molly P. In addition there were so few screens that sleeping was not possible on the first floor. Washer and dryer were inoperable making it a hassle to get clothes laundered. The house need some manteinance. There was no en ought bed sheets for all guest and they were not property clean. At the check in the property did not comply with a normal cleaning standard (terrace poorly cleaned). I visited the property with family and 4 children and it was not easy to have breakfast, lunch or dinner since we did not had even enough forks. (Only 4), the Keeper Francisco then gave us from the other house which was empty, the first night. ##### Laura F. See attached photos.We had to leave this house as it was not habitable. VRBO/Vacasa staff/ local Manager Kevin - 1 star1\. There are bats in the house. 2\. There is bat poop covering the stairs.3\. The entrance stairs are slippery and almost completely broken and rotted. I fell and it is dangerous.4\. The master bedroom toilet smells like an open sewer. Vacasa promised to send someone out to fix it or at least to check it out and no one ever showed up. The local manager Kevin also promised to have someone come and no one ever showed up.5\. The beds all have poop falling on them from lizards or rodents.6\. There is no way to lock anything in the house or keep any belonging safe. Looking through the past comments someone has noted that they have been robbed. No one ever addressed the situation. No one ever told us that it is not secure. I bought a padlock to put on the door upstairs. But the door is so flimsy and unsafe that when I closed it yesterday, pain of glass fell out, leaving a large gaping hole in the door.7\. Francisco the host greeter from next-door is lovely, but he has no idea of privacy. He walks into our house living room because there are no walls with no warning and when we are not dressed.8\. The rental house that is not Vacasa next-door is 4 meters away and was filled with noisy drunks playing music until two in the morning.9\. Undrivable road with regular 4x4\. 10\. The price is high for what the place has to offer. Very rustic and chic decor doesn’t mean comfort. There was no dinning table, poor to not wifi, no phone signal, the fan speed could not be regulated. There were holes on the floor, rusty nails sticking out of the floor. No security and no where to secure valued items. On our last day we went to the beach and upon returning our Bose speaker went missing, we have not heard from management about it yet. We loved every minute of staying there. The sound of the waves in the morning is magical along with all the animals. We saw monkeys, although the howling monkeys do start at 5am!
