Sleeps 4-5\. Located just 2 minutes by golf cart to the favored East Beach, and walking distance to the Turtle Conservancy, Mike's Bites, and the Commons Park. Our cottage was updated in 2020\. Remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops, marble backsplash, new stove, and dishware. Bath and beach towels are provided. New interior paint and decor, new rugs and leather chaise. Dining table and master vanity with quartz countertops. We pride ourselves on keeping our home fresh, tidy, and clean. We do have a no pets and no smoking policy. The first floor has a bright entryway, a garage for the 4-seater golf cart, a bedroom with queen-sized bed, wall mounted television, and full bathroom with walk-in shower. The second floor contains the living room with a comfortable sofa, arm chair, and leather chaise, updated kitchen with new appliances, dining nook, and closet with full-sized washer/dryer. The third floor is a family suite with a teak queen bed and side tables, a twin over full bunk bed, large vanity, and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. Wall mounted television in first floor bedroom, as well as a large flat screen and Blu-Ray DVD player in the living room. Both televisions are smart TVs. There is a large movie library, as well as board games and puzzles. Beach chairs, and beach towels are provided. We have a few adult-sized bicycles that are kept outside and are available for your use. Please note the bicycles are in "as is" condition - guests are welcome to use them or, if they prefer, they can rent bicycles from one of the on-island shops. Guests have the option of purchasing a temporary guest membership to Bald Head Island Club, allowing guests to access pools, waterslides, golf, tennis, pickleball, croquet, and multiple restaurants and coffee bar. The pools are heated through the end of October and re-open in April. The Sumners Crescent community has a shared deck with benches for relaxing. There is also a charcoal grill at the cottage. BHI also offers historical tours, kayak rentals, bicycle rentals, guided fishing trips, turtle conservancy, nature trails, shopping, crabbing, etc. So much to enjoy, whether visiting in the midst of summer or in the off-season. We are also the owners of “Fish N’ Chips”, a larger 4 BR home just a few doors down - perfect if you are looking for a second home for friends or family. PLEASE NOTE- Hurricane Policy: If the local Government orders a mandatory evacuation for Bald Head Island AND you don’t stay at our home, you will receive a full refund for the nights the evacuation order is in place. This does not pertain to voluntary evacuations, a situation where travel insurance is certainly beneficial. If our home becomes uninhabitable for any reason (fire, wind, flood), and we need to cancel, you will receive a full refund for unused days of your stay. Because of the current pandemic, and because unexpected situations can arise (health, work, date conflicts, etc), we recommend protecting your investment and vacation by purchasing travel insurance. The living space on the second floor was so cozy and inviting. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed. We loved having enough beds for everyone to sleep in the same room on the third floor as we have young kids. We rode bikes to the beach, which was an incredibly short ride, and saw a group of 5 deer grazing in the dunes. Watching the sun dip below the ocean during sunset was an unexpected treat, seeing as we have only ever seen this in Key West. Chrissie was very attentive and responsive.
