Place yourself in the heart of the Costa Rica jungle with a stay at beautiful Villa Dalu. From the moment you enter the property at Villa Dalu, you'll be surrounded by a lush, tropical rainforest where budding starfruit, lime, and mango trees dot the driveway. Wild birds and howler monkeys will provide the soundtrack for your mornings, while immaculate sunsets rule the evening hours and privacy is always paramount. Located just a few clicks north of the southern Pacific coastal town of Uvita, Villa Dalu is a 3-bedroom, 2 ½-bath luxury vacation rental property that is ideal for up to six guests. Children are always welcome at Villa Dalu. The grounds feature a fantastic infinity swimming pool with sweeping jungle views and a partial ocean view. As is a custom in Costa Rica, there's plenty of outdoor living space with a BBQ, pool lounge chairs, and plenty of kick-back seating. With temperatures hovering in the '80s day and night, there's never a bad time to take a dip in the pool at Villa Dalu. Walking through the front door, you'll be swept away by the villa's stunning ceiling-to-floor glassdoor sightlines and vaulted wood ceiling. From the kitchen table, you can literally watch toucans and hawks buzz past these windows in search of their daily meals. It's an awesome ritual that puts you right in the middle of the jungle action. The home is also fully stocked with all of the proper equipment you'll need for a fulfilling, yet relaxing, vacation, including new cooking utensils, a blender, coffee pot, and dishwasher. Other home amenities include a washer and dryer as well as wireless internet. As mentioned, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms total. Two of the three bedrooms feature king beds, while the third bedroom has a pair of twin beds. Each bedroom has an air-conditioning unit. The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and direct access to the pool deck, with spectacular views as well. From the international airport in San Jose, it takes about 3 ½ hours to drive to the area where Villa Dalu is located. You will need a 4x4 vehicle to make the short drive up the mountain from the coastal highway. From the property, it takes 15 minutes to drive into Uvita town, where you'll find grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, restaurants, bars, and shopping. There are also some exciting tour activities nearby, including deep-sea fishing, surfing lessons, ATV rides, SUP tours, kayaking, snorkeling, river rafting, canopy zip lines, horseback riding, and a couple of epic waterfall hikes. We do a lot of VRBO rentals, and some can feel cluttered or poorly managed. This home felt thoughtfully put together. The views are amazing, and the morning toucans were a great bonus. The You Get There team helped us plan several excursions, as well as an in-home massage and private chef dinner.The only downside is that there’s no A/C in the main living area. Since we visited in July, it got a bit warm during the day and some evenings. I would have preferred A/C in all rooms, but that’s really our only complaint. Villa Dalu was the perfect spot for our first trip to the area! The house is beautifully designed, clean and the kitchen is well-equipped! We loved the remoteness of the house! It was about a 10 minute drive from the main road on a windy road. Definitely need a 4x4\. Once at the house, you are surrounded by the beauty and sounds of nature! We loved heading out for the day and returning to the tranquility of the surroundings! The pool and deck area were perfect and we loved the outdoor shower to rinse off from the day before jumping in the pool. Highly recommend visiting Santa Lucia falls (you need to book a private tour in order to see the falls). The property is owned by 2 brothers and we were the only ones on the property, hiking and swimming in the waterfalls. Humberto and Enrique were friendly and knowledgeable guides and we enjoyed a lovely lunch afterwards, prepared by Humberto's wife. Definitely need sturdy shoes! Our favourite beaches were Hermosa and Colonia! We can't say enough about the property managers from Get Here Now. They were very responsive with questions and any issues we had. They showed up within an hour of any issue we reported (and the issues were small). Thank you, Jhonathan and Ismael! Comfortable and all around perfect. Outdoor living space is phenomenal. Can't recommend highly enough! Be sure to have 4x4 for the driveway. It's steep and rocky. ##### Jennifer T. M. The house is neat, clean and brand new. We woke up with the sounds of the monkeys, andthe property has multiple fruit trees that attract lovely birds and tons of butterflies. It felt like paradise! Very clean and organized. The only reason I gave the location 4 stars instead of 5 is the long bumpy driveway and road to get there. It does not make it conducive to lots of coming and going. You must have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. But once you arrive at the location it is beautiful and we felt very safe. Lots of Toucans and other birds flying about! ##### Samantha P. The pictures are great but it’s so hard to do this house justice by photos. It was amazing! It has everything you need to cook 5 star meals and it was immaculately clean! We’ve been to Dominical and Uvita numerous times and this house was hands down the best. Not to mention the fantastic management company You Get Here. This is the second time we have used them and we will never use another management company when we revisit the area. Stephen, Ismael, and Jonathan are really the best. This made it uncomfortable to hang out when the humidity and temp are both above 85 The property looked nice except for the plastic tarp on the roof was not the nicest thing to see every time you drive in. The inside of the house is very nice and modern but the couches and chair are not very comfortable and are worn out. ##### Jordan K. It is tranquil and private and has the most mesmerizing view of a beautiful rainforest overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The home has lots of room for 3 couples but we were on our own and relished having all the doors open at all times to hear the sounds of nature. they are all screened but having the doors all open at breakfast is a recommendation! Gorgeous at all times. Amazing bird watching. We did also see howler monkeys. Bring your binoculars!! The pool is fabulous and we spent a lot of time at the villa when we weren’t at a beach or hiking at SaintLuciaFalls.com (just up the road and a fabulous time!). The kitchen has everything you need and is fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. The fridge makes ice! There is a great BBQ and laundry facilities. And fruit trees! We used lots of limes! There are only positive things to say. We really loved it and highly recommend it for one couple or up to 3… or a family. The property managers were also excellent and very responsive to any needs or questions or requests. Don’t hesitate to book this place! ##### Gayleen G. The spacious layout of the naturally ventilated (we almost never used AC) rooms and the interior design are nicely done. The villa comes with everything you might need: terrace with a nice pool, sitting area grill and a view, comfy beds, washer/drier and a very well equipped kitchen. Lots of wildlife visit and the howler monkeys accompanied our early yoga sessions. We appreciated to pick fruits directly from the trees in the garden. The architectural design of the roof makes one well protected, even during very heavy rains. We would love to come back to this jungly jewel. ##### Sandra R. The view is stunning, the house is gorgeous, the amenities are endless, and the property management team make your stay in Costa Rica perfect! From suggestions on restaurants to help booking tours to rental cars and even groceries, the you get here team made our stay a dream! We woke up in the mornings to the sounds of monkeys and toucans sitting right outside our windows. The property is filled with fruit bearing trees, and the indoor outdoor living is perfect!
