"When we first drove up to the Days Inn by Wyndham in Frankfort, I have to admit I was a little concerned. There's an abandoned restaurant next door, and several of the nearby storefronts are vacant, so my first impression wasn't the best. The motel itself is also an older property. However, once we opened the door to our room, my opinion completely changed. The room was absolutely immaculate. It was so clean that you could tell it had just been sanitized—I could even smell the bleach at first. By the time we returned later that day, the smell had almost completely disappeared, confirming they had likely just finished a thorough cleaning. The room appeared to have been recently remodeled, and whoever handled the renovation did an outstanding job. The craftsmanship and decor were excellent. The large photograph above the bed was beautiful and peaceful. The window treatment was impressive. It blocked out light completely for sleep, yet also allowed natural light in while maintaining privacy during the day. Since there wasn't space for a traditional closet, they installed sturdy bench with a high back with pegs for hanging clothes, which was a smart and practical solution. Everything looked to be in great condition and was very well maintained. My only real complaint, needs a better mattress. No question, it was the cheapest."
