Back Roads and Beaches Bike and Multi-Sport Route

Stay was nice overall, but the tv only played tennis. Room was clean.

We had a great stay at Explorer Rest & Recreation! The location is incredibly convenient if you’re visiting Cedar Point—just off the peninsula and an easy jumping-off point for everything in the area. Our room was surprisingly spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was honestly next level. The linens felt incredibly high quality and luxurious—definitely one of those little details that made the stay feel much nicer than expected. One important thing for future travelers to know is that there is no staff physically onsite. Everything is managed virtually. This wasn’t a problem for us at all and the process worked well, but it’s worth mentioning for anyone who prefers having a traditional front desk or someone physically available at the property. Overall, we were really impressed. Spacious, comfortable, thoughtfully done, and perfectly located for a Cedar Point trip. And seriously—the bedding alone deserves a shoutout!

We had the cutest room and the fireplace was going when we got there it was so cozy and nice! The free bowling included with the room was super nice and an added bonus. The only thing that was weird is when you go in the back door from the parking lot you have to walk all the way thru the restaurant to the front desk of the restaurant and that's where they check you in for the hotel. We were super confused and the waitresses are so busy they can't really help! It's a pretty hopping place and the food is really good!
