"This is not a deluxe hotel. It is quite run down. Stairs are in need of attention. Some of the bathroom towels should be retired. Price was cheapest in DC area. "

"The hotel is close to the metro and walkable to monuments (1 to 3miles for most)if preferable. Uber n taxis easy to get. Breakfast buffet had hot n cold choices, enough to satisfy most tastes. Bed was comfortable n room was quiet. I would use them again if in the area. "

"The room was clean and comfortable. I love the non-carpeted floors, so clean! The only tiny thing was that the toilet tank lid had a crack in it and should be replaced. Not a big deal and I didn't even mention it to the staff assuming that every time the bathroom was cleaned, the crack was seen. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice variety of egg dishes and breads and muffins. "

"I stayed at Hotel Nell while I was in town for a conference. The room was excellent, had everything I wanted! The staff were awesome to interact with. Two problems for me - First the street noise was problematic! The hotel is located on a very busy street and there is a lot of traffic on this street 24/7. And don’t get me started on police and fire truck sirens. The staff’s fix for this was ear plugs. Second, I was attending a conference that started between 8-9am every day. The restaurant in the hotel didn’t open until 8:30 and 9am on weekends. That meant locating breakfast somewhere else which was Blue Bottle Coffee. Great little place but limited options. There were not any other options around the hotel that I could find. "

"Don’t waste your time booking this hotel. The air conditioner leaked, leaving water all over the floor. When I reported it, the front desk just handed me extra towels to deal with it myself. The walls were chipped, the shower head was clogged with barely any water pressure, and there was only lukewarm water in the morning. The microwave was louder than a motorcycle, and both the coffee maker and hair dryer didn’t work because the outlet was broken—which the front desk already knew about. There was no shampoo or bath soap provided. I booked a three-night stay but had to get my key reactivated at the front desk every single day. Overall, a very frustrating experience."

"Clean room , great staff. Anything needed were able to get and fast. We used the shuttle that’s takes you to and from union station plus other stationary places. Great experience overall "
