We arrived late at night but Ayla and her husband were waiting for us with a smile on their faces. They quickly pointed us in the direction of an exquisite restaurant and patiently waited for us to come back and get one of the best nights of sleep since our arrival in Turkey. The following morning we were greeted by even warmer smiles and a delicious Turkish breakfast that kept us going until the evening. We wholeheartedly recommend Podemos Otel to anyone who wishes to stay in an stunning historical building filled with professionalism and care. Kahvaltısı arka bahçede servis ediliyor, oldukça güzel ve yeterliydi. It perfectly represents the sincerity of Ayvalik in its decor and the way it’s run. It is a wonderfully restored Greek house that fit the setting. We felt more than welcome every time we arrived at the hotel and were given excellent recommendations upon our arrival; no questions were left unanswered. Every morning we were offered a magnificent breakfast with delicious local produce which left us full for the better part of the day. The location made everything perfectly accessible for us with lots of cafes, restaurants and little shops around the corner. Access to the ferry for Cunda is within walking distance as well. While we had a car, we hardly needed it for local activities. Feridun Bey misafirlerle çok ilgili, harita üzerinden Ayvalık'ta nereleri gezmemiz gerektiği ile ilgili bize çok yararlı bilgiler verdi. Otel eski bir Rum konağı, restore edilmiş ve gayet güzel. Odalar çok temiz, banyo, çarşaflar, her yer pırıl pırıl. Her ayrıntı özenle düşünülmüş. Kahvaltı harika, kahvaltı için hem bahçeyi kullanabiliyorsunuz hem de içerde yiyebiliyorsunuz, her ikisi de çok keyifli. çünkü otelin her yeri çok iyi dekore edilmiş. Eski Ayvalık’ın ortasında huzur dolu bir yer. 100 yıllık tarihi konağın her m2 sinde titiz bir çalışma ile tarihi dokuyu bozmadan renovasyonun nasıl yapılabileceğini görmüş olduk. Konakladığımız sürede farkında olmadan oteldeki her detay bizi geçmişe götürdü. Eskiyi anımsatan komidinler, emaye tabaklar, yatak başları, ahşap kokusu, bahçede farklı noktalara serpiştirilmiş objeler... Odalar çok temiz, yataklar rahat ve konforluydu. Otele girişte odalarda klima olmadığı için tedirgin olduk, fakat hem tavan pervanesi hem de otelin mimari özelliği sebebiyle 2 geceyi gayet ferah geçirdik. Feridun Bey’in bize çizdiği rotalar, görülmesi gereken yerler ile ilgili önerileri ve bir yerel rehberin detaylı aktarımlarına benzer bilgilendirmeleri sonrası Eski Ayvalık sokaklarında kaybolup, yorgunluk kahvelerimizi içmek üzere otele dönmek oldukça keyifliydi. Otelin bir başka iddialı yönü kahvaltısı. Kahvaltıda kuş sütü beklentiniz yoksa eğer damak çatlatmadan kalkmak zor :) Yöresel ürünler kullanıyorlar, her gün farklı lezzetleri tattık. Hem sunum hem de lezzet açısından çok beğendik. Kuş sütü beklentiniz varsa da yerine bizim gibi hayatımızda ilk defa tattığımız süt reçeli ile idare edin :) Başta Feridun Bey olmak üzere tüm ekibine böylesine keyifli 2 gün yaşattıkları için çok teşekkür ederiz. Turizm sektöründe sizler gibi sevgi ile işini yapanların çoğalması dileklerimizle. Tarihi dokusu korunmuş. Odada herşey var. Otel sahipleri her konuda çok ilgili bilgili, misafirliktesin sanki. Kahvaltı müthiş görünümlü ve çok lezzetli. Bahçesi harika. Tek sorun klima olmaması. Yeni açılmış, çok emek harcanmış, kendinizi zamanda geriye gitmiş gibi hissettiren, eski zamanların Ayvalığını yaşatan güzel bir otel. Feridun Bey ve Emel Hanım başta olmak üzere bütün personel çok ilgili, çok kibar. Otelin konumu Ayvalık merkeze yürüme mesafesinde. Perşembe günleri hemen yanında pazar da kuruluyor. Kahvaltısı güzel, yeterli, doyurucu. Yöresel ürünler kullanmaya özen gösteriyorlar. Çok keyifli bir bahçesi var. Büyük emek harcanarak açılmış bu işletmeyle ilgili olumsuz görüş beyan etmek içime sinmese de gelecek misafirlerin dikkatini çekmek istediğim bir kaç eksi hususu da belirtmemek olmaz; otelin önünden gece 1'e 2'ye kadar vızır vızır motorlar ve arabalar geçiyor. Özellikle motor sesinden uyumak pek mümkün olmuyor. Bütün ses odanın içinde. Otel yönetimi bunun farkında olduğu için odaya kulak tıkacı bırakmış. Otelin biraz yukarısı gecekondu mahallesi ve özellikle akşamları yalnız yürümek istemeyeceğiniz bir bölge. Otelin otoparkı yok, bulunduğu sokakta arabanızı park edecek bir duvar dibi bulursanız çok şanslısınız. Özellikle pazarın kurulduğu perşembe günleri arabanızı buraya sokmak çok büyük sorun. Otel yönetimi arabanızı ücretli otoparka çekmenizi tavsiye ediyor.(perşembe günleri bu da mümkün değil) Bu yanlış bir uygulama. O otoparkla otel yönetiminin anlaşması, müşterilerinin aracını ücretsiz olarak otoparka çekmelerini sağlaması lazım. Kaldığımız odada mini buzdolabı yoktu.
