This hotel is a luxury haven on a gorgeous lake. We stayed in winter, and it was a pure delight! The chef of the Riverain restaurant is worthy of a Michelin mention. He is clearly a perfectionist. The weekend/holiday brunch is a royal feast, replete with delicate French pastries ready to dunk in your allongé, local charcuteries, eggs made on order just the way you want them, fresh fruit and decadent desserts to your heart's content. The Grand Marnier tiramisú was out of this world! This hotel is perfect for a couples' getaway or an upscale personalized experience for the entire family. It's also within drivable distance of the ski slopes at Mont Orford and Mont Bellevue.

The overall experience was great & the holidays brunch was amazing… However i wouldn’t rate the hotel as 5 stars because of the room. I have booked a classic room with the river view, once we checked in, we discovered that the room wasn’t worth the price paid at all. The bed wasn’t so comfortable as it was a queen bed although we mentioned that we were two!! And it kept making noises everytime we move.

This place is magical. Especially this past week when the fall colours were at their very best. Loons and ducks and a heron gave us a great show at every meal on the heated outdoor deck. The food was sublime. And I know good food. The people who work there were simply wonderful and thoughtful. We. Loved. It!!

The property is beautiful and the staff is very nice. We have stayed at Ripplecove 5 times over the last 20 years. But we were surprised and distressed to discover that it took 15 minutes for the hot water in the bathroom and shower to come up! That is simply unacceptable in a suite costing over $800 a night. The staff was unable to fix the problem except to have us run the shower until the water ran hot enough to use. New ownership should do a better job of ensuring that basic amenities are provided to guests.

I liked the views of the lake and the very approachable staff in the bar. It felt like a high end hotel but with a balance - still very cozy and welcoming. Massage was great with a view of the lake from the spa. Pool facilities were calm and barely occupied even though the hotel was at full occupancy.

This was not a good experience. The hotel had construction going on starting early in the morning which they did not mention on their website when I made the reservations nor did they inform us prior to our stay. The menu for dinner was simply a 7 course meal which we weren't interested in and the entire menu did not have anything other than a hamburger that was lactose tolerant. Lunch menu was also extremely limited. The Manoir Hovey was much better with lunch and dinner selections. You should take a lesson. The person who checked us in at the front desk was rude. There were no directions on how to use anything in the room. Our phone never worked. The heating/cooling system didn't work. We had difficulty obtaining a drink as the bartender was not in the bar. We did finally get a drink on the second day. The robes in the room were worn out - frayed. Everything was written in French. I understand French is your first language but you have many Americans and others visiting who do not speak French. Most hotels also include English. We thought we had a room with a balcony and lake view but there was no balcony. The visit was definitely not worth the room charge. I would not return as a guest.

Additionally, at Ripplecove, we are constantly working to improve the experience for our valued customers and assure you that every effort is being made to alleviate the momentary situation.Regarding the case of your meals, this situation is very unfamiliar, know that our butler always offers the best service to meet the special needs of our valued customers. With regard to the use of French in our hotel, Bill 101 of Quebec requires us to do so. Nevertheless, all our employees are bilingual and therefore able to help you with any questions related to your stay. In closing, we thank you for submitting your comments, and we hope that you still appreciated the beauty of your suite with a view of the magnificent Lake Massawippi.
