Find the Best Avola Bed and Breakfast

"place okay. Bit early in season. Everything at the accommodation closed at 7pm. Didn’t open again until breakfast at 0730am. Nowhere else to hang as main reception area closed at 1930so confined to pokey room or outside in cold. We were offered a bigger better room at an extra 20e a night on check in which came over as ours was bit rubbish! -which it was ! It was a 15 min drive to Avola on a dodgy road. Little to see in Avola - sea front area was ok but little there due to time of year. Room was small with fridge that hummed heavily so had to switch off. Bed was uncomfortable for two with cheap memory foam mattress that had clearly lost its memory due to the high number of folk who’d slept on it. Pool area good. generally site looked jaded and tired. Wouldn’t hurt to have a few more signs to direct to location. Buffet breakfast okay. Stayed 2 nights. Location good for Noto / Modica/ Ragusa. But be better staying in one of those places in my opinion. Most reviews not for April but later in year - "

"This hotel is totally different to that shown on its website. There are no pretty lights outside that illuminate it. It is described as being comfy & stylish, it is any thing but. There is no restaurant, save a room where they serve a cold breakfast. There is no bar, there are no mattress’s for the sun beds, no amenities at all. This is certainly not a four star hotel. We feel we were totally fooled by their website and although we had paid for a 4 night relaxing break, we had to leave after only one night. "

"Interesting “hobbit house” like cottages in the countryside on a working farm. The set up and surroundings were beautiful. We had dinner “50 euro for two people” and breakfast 5 Euro. Dinner was delicious, ample and came with local wine. We bought two bottles of their olive oil. Breakfast was OK. Both were served by the father who wasnt unfriendly, but perhaps may be getting tired of the tourism business??? We also had trouble finding the place. The directions should have mentioned to follow the signs for U Samborgia. Overall, we are in the fence on whether we can recommend this place. Maybe if we stayed longer than one night…"
