ATTENTION! DO NOT BOOK IF MORE THAN 4 GUESTS! IT'S A LAW ON AVALON. Only 4 guests max for a 1 bedroom condo. If more, you will be EVICTED! Sorry everyone else, there's been a rash of renters sneaking in 5 and I can lose my rental permit. Now...... There's a reason all locals tell everybody to stay at Exclusive Hamilton Cove Private Condo complex. This condo is in Building #8, #85\. At 1,000sqft, (compare to 400 in hotel) and Way More sq footage than all other 1bdrm Ham Cove units, this villa is particularly spacious and easily accommodates 4 guests. The bedroom has a Super Comfy King bed with high thread count linens. The other guests sleep on a queen sofa sleeper with a thick foam mattress in the living room. This condo is Oceanfront with No Obstructions and you'll feel On Top of the Actual Beach you're so close(see pix). Leave windows or French doors open overnight to hear the waves lap the ocean. The Kitchen has all amenities with a Combination Drip/Kuerig coffeemaker, Large Refrigerator, range/oven, New Non-stick pots and pans, pantry. Everything to feel at home and cook if you want. The BBQ on the balcony is huge and has 2 Propane tanks to ensure you don't run out. We've tried to think of everything! There's a separate bathtub(for kids or if that's your thing) and a separate shower-whatever your needs. With ALL the amenities and security plus private use of a golfcart,private beach and a kitchen, not only can you save from going out, but you can RELAX and stay in! If you do the math and eat just a few meals in, you pay less here than at hotels. The golfcart alone costs $60 an hour in town! And you'll have it to use exclusively throughout your stay. Wake up to serenity, brew coffee(or whatever), eat a lil something lounging on the balcony without having to leave(like a hotel). Drive 10 minutes into Avalon, or Stay here at the private beach, pool, jacuzzi that make Hamilton Cove so Magical. Play tennis,mini golf,croquet,workout,swim, take a jacuzzi,snorkel or drive 5 minutes to super-classy Descanso Beach for kayaking, Stand-Up paddleboard, a massage..or..go to the restaurant/bar for outdoor live music(seasonal) and drinks on the beach!!! See, this vacation is truly what you make of it.From TOTAL relaxation to Full On Hikes,biking, and ALL watersports! Catalina( and Hamilton Cove especially) is so close, but feels miles from home. With your Host managing things, you'll not only have my personal cell, you'll also have my assistant's. Things happen and we are accessible to you. In fact, you are able to go straight to the villa(checkin time or earlier) without filling out oodles of paperwork in town first(like the management companies). And, we are flexible, when able, to allow for early checkin or late checkout( unlike them) Caution renting from Management companies. While we've kept our Rates reasonable, these companies' condo rates have Skyrocketed! And if they seem reasonable, watch out for Exorbitant HOST FEES. We charge what our maids get paid. Also, if there's a problem, you better hope it's during business hours, I got no returned call when I had an emergency over the weekend and was blamed for their cart's problem(on Monday) As hosts, We truly appreciate your booking and want you to have An Excellent Adventure!!! You need to be comfortable driving a golf cart everywhere, since this location is not close enough or safe to walk to town. Perfect weather, while coming from different ports all arrived within a half hour of each other and the villa was ready. All directions/suggestion were spot on. We loved waking and sleeping to the sounds of the ocean, getting up to the most beautiful view each day and night. Perfect distance with being able to see deer and the beautiful route to town. Very attentive to all my questions and concerns. He would usually respond within minutes of sending a message. A view from the balcony to die for. Golf cart is an absolute necessity. Especially since the golf cart rental in Avalon would cost $60 per hour. The Vons grocery store is very nice and has everything you could possibly need. Coming from the East coast we really didn’t know what to expect. Scenic views everywhere. The golf cart is an absolute plus, it greatly enhanced our trip . The vibe is very laid back . The island grocery store has all your needs . Our ONLY problem was there are no AC units on the property. Most nights a fan and leaving the window open would work. I took my little family on vacation and we recently stayed at the HAMCOVE villa on Catalina Island and had an exceptional experience. Richard, the host, was amazing, accommodating us with an early check-in and providing detailed instructions and helpful tips to enhance our stay. The villa, located in Hamilton Cove, was beautiful with stunning views. The convenience of having a golf cart made exploring the island easy and fun. Richard’s suggestions for getting around and using the local grocery store were very helpful. Our stay was magnificent, and our son loved everything—especially the villa, the view, and riding in the golf cart. Communication was excellent throughout our stay, ensuring any questions were promptly addressed. The villa was well-equipped and comfortable, making for a perfect vacation. Overall, our stay at HAMCOVE was fantastic. We will definitely stay there again in the future. I highly recommend this rental for a memorable and enjoyable stay on Catalina Island. We enjoyed our stay immensely! The peaceful setting and gorgeous views were so relaxing! There was always something to see out beyond the railing of the balcony; a variety of boats, kayaks, swimmers, birds and people watching. We enjoyed the private cove for great snorkeling and even though the beach is rocky, wearing water shoes or sandals made it navigable. There are shaded tables and bbq’s in the common area at the beach level. The condo was well equiped for home cooking including a nice bbq. The washer/dryer was appreciated. The bedroom can be closed off for late sleepers and the bed was very comfortable. Of course the ‘free’ golf cart was the deal closer! It was dependable and we took many long rides on the scenic routes. It was so convenient to get to the market and restaurants. ( carts in town rent for $65 an hour!)
