"Really unique and special place to stay in Paris. Stunning location enjoyed in the bar and pool area. Lovely place to relax and enjoy the views. We were upgraded to a fantastic suite and offered complimentary bubbly to celebrate a big birthday. Very comfortable and well appointed. Really kind and sweet staff. Location near to the metro so very convenient. Be aware of the slight rocking when larger boats go past! A great, fun place to stay where they made us feel special with superb service....

"The staff were unhelpful and did not implement any of the VIP access I actually booked the hotel for. We could not use the spa or sauna and after a long week of working hard, this was a real blow. We were told to book a week in advance. The restaurant was like getting into a Hollywood night-club(a bad one) Just when we thought Paris had changed, this place stepped up and ruined our fantasy. Unpleasant and unhelpful staff. Tons of attitude. No late check out either. Top price for substandard service. The bed was very comfortable though. I think I lost a bit of my soul staying here. New management may help hire better staff as the setting is nice. There are better places in Paris and I certainly won’t be returning to this place. SO/rubbish"

"The one thing that was an annoying distraction was the lack of power in our room this morning. I went downstairs and made the front desk aware of my urgent issue since I needed to leave promptly this morning. The front desk person came up and showed me how the sensor for the room power/lighting in the door jam sticks. A bit of manipulation of that sensor/switch had the room lit so I could rush to shower, shave, etc,etc get and leave"

"The kitchenette and ensuite laundry was convenient. The towels were large and fluffy, but no facecloths or tissue paper. The layout and space were fine. The rooms were FAR too dark due to dated paint colours and dark ceilings. The bed wasn't comfortable and was very squeeky. The sofa was stained and uncomfortable. The table and chairs were worn though the curtains were lovely. The hotel advertises itself as luxury but doesn't clean more than once a week unless you request a light clean. You have to put out your own garbage, ask for towels and toilet paper and coffee. As a result, dirty towels and garbage bags are left in the hallway. The hallway carpets are orange, old and stained. It is a basic 2 star, certainly not luxury. There was very limited space to hang short clothing only. Some storage in a cabinet but you couldn't use the top if you hung clothing up. All in all, a disappointment for people accustomed to more luxury"

"We liked this hotel where we stayed for 3 nights. Very close to Gare de Lyon which worked well with our plans. This isn’t a classic Holiday Inn, it really has more cachet and the architectural details that make you feel you are in Paris. We had a room with a balcony which we enjoyed. Our room was an ok size for Paris but we didn’t have a basic room and heard that the basic rooms were quite small. Ours had a brand new bathroom and was well designed so it didn’t feel too small. The area is average, so there are dining options and your classic Paris staples but nothing earth shattering. The hotel restaurant seemed very nice although not cheap. We didn’t end up going but noticed the food and drinks menu looked top notch. Grocery store in front for basics and snacks."
