You are 10 minutes walking from the centre and local shops, not far from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Les Baux-de-Provence, in the heart of the Provençal Alpilles massif. Aureille is preserved from time and tourist masses. It is a charming little Provençal village. Holidaymakers are therefore always welcome! The people of Aureil are known for their good mood, warm welcome, helpfulness and solidarity. The village benefits from all the local shops necessary to enjoy a good gourmet and friendly stay: restaurants, bakery, grocery store, butcher shop, bar, tobacco-press shop... The ruins of the medieval castle built in the 11th century give the village a singular charm. The surrounding landscapes are typical of the region: the hills of the Alpilles as far as the eye can see, limestone rocks overlooking the Opies, which peak at 496 metres above sea level, century-old olive groves, extending to the village of Mouriès, the European capital of olive and its oil. The sunset light that makes the cliffs of La Civadière (climbing site) blush is a real invitation to contemplation and rest. Aureille is also a land of athletes. Whether you like hiking, cycling, running... all activities are possible, not far from here! It is the ideal starting point for a multitude of hiking trails that cross the Alpilles. The nearest supermarket and pharmacy are located in Eyguières (7 km). Le bien correspondait pour l'essentiel à la description. Il est impérieux d'équiper cette maison d'une climatisation, tant la chaleur à l'intérieur est insupportable malgré les ventilateurs inefficaces. D'autre part, nous avons regretté les intrusions du personnel d'entretien de la piscine et du jardin (ouvriers au demeurant sympathiques), qui pénètre dans la propriété sans s'annoncer, ni même sonner au portail. Dans ces conditions, l'intimité attendue dans ce type de location individuelle, n'est absolument pas respectée. ##### brigitte j.
