Property was nice away from the noise of traffic accommodation and bed were very comfortable driveway a little difficult overall good stay only thing I didn’t like and I don’t know if it was Vrbo or the owners raised the price $100 total from what was quoted on the Vrbo site…

I am not capable of changing the amount that is charged after the reservation is made. There are VRBO service fees that are added to the nightly stay, however not after the quote is stated and the reservation is completed.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and a pure delight! Tucked away in a quite little canyon with a lovely river of rushing waters, it was a beautiful location with nothing lacking for the accommodations. A real treat! Only wish I was able to spend more time there as I was in the area for work, not vacation. Highly recommend.

This was in a great setting right on the Bear River.
A nice place, quiet and peaceful with easy access to the Bear River. The swimming pool was great too.

Lovely stay, river not swimmable
I really liked the hosts and the space was lovely and well-maintained. They were very attentive and everything felt clean and well-stocked. The pool was awesome! In part we were drawn to this property to be able to swim in the river, but when we arrived the host let us know that the river wasn't safe to swim in due to algae and pesticides. This was a bummer as it was a big draw for us in choosing this particular place. We ended up going to the Yuba and it was really beautiful and fun, so no biggie in the end. It would have been better to know ahead of time that the Bear River on the property was more for looking at and listening to than for swimming in :)

According to the EPA, all rivers and lakes have bacteria‘s and pollutants from runoff water. People with autoimmune problems especially, taking immune suppressants, should swim in pools that are treated with chlorine or salt.

Back to nature
We had a very relaxing time here. The deck is a great place to sit and listen to the Bear River bubbling over rocks, as well as star gaze. Sharon was a very welcoming host...we will be back!
