Hiawatha @ Kimar's Resort Lk SUP

Our rustic 2 bedroom cabin is located at Kimar's Resort. We just updated the mattress in the queen bedroom per your feedback. Although the cabin is not right on the water, you have access to 300' of rocky Lake Superior frontage at our resort in Shelter Bay. Additionally, we are located across from another lake, Deer Lake, which is great for swimming, fishing, and boating! With your rental, you have free access to our canoes and kayaks that you can take around the bay. We are but a 20 minute drive from Munising where the Pictured Rocks boat tours can take you to see the infamous painted rocks!

We also have a charter fishing business on site if you are interested in catching some Lake trout to cook on the gas grill in the community pavilion or on your private charcoal grill. This is a down-to-earth property; we have many boats on site and a number of other guests. Friends from the resort often times gather at the campfire and share a beer and some laughs under a moonlit sky. If you want an authentic Yooper experience this place is for you!

The cottage was very cute and the pavilion area had a great set-up. Great view from the fire pit/beach area. Canoes were available to take out and great area to rock-hunt.

Cute Little Hideaway

This cabin was the perfect size for my fiancé and myself. Right in the middle between Marquette and Munising, this made our stay the perfect launch point for many vacation adventures.

Great Location

The Cabin is small but cozy, not a big view of the Lake from the Cabin, but with a short walk to the boathouse the lake is absolutely stunning. The property is located pretty much directly between Munising and Marquette, so you can do day trips to either very easily!

This multi-generational property has a really cool backstory and history. The owner was responsive and the check-in/out process was easy. A good halfway location between Munising and Marquette, this felt like the full upper peninsula experience.

Great weekend away

We had a nice time checking out the beautiful UP. Close to pictured rocks where we spent lots of time. The bed was not the most comfortable, but not terrible. Nice location to explore the area. Really enjoyed dinner at The Blackrocks nearby. Definitely a hidden gem!

Lake Superior beauty

Great property on the shore of Lake Superior. Swimming, rock picking, kayaking right outside your door. WiFi and Direct TV. Comfy and cozy. Very clean! Sara is a great host!

Super clean. Good dishes and pans. Good location. Loved the waterfalls. Loved the sunsets, sun rise and even saw a rainbow over the big lake. Thanks for the rocks!

Cute vintage cabins

We enjoyed our brief stay in Kimars Cottages. Unfortunately, we arrived after dark and left early the next morning, so we were unable to use any of the fun amenities like kayaks and the pavilion. Communication and check-in were super easy. The clean cottages are simple and vintage with everything you need for your stay. We hope to stay again when we have more time.

Very happy with our stay

Sarah was very kind and attentive. She made sure our stay was very pleasant and even got us a bottle of wine and a card to congratulate us on our marriage. The property was clean and the view of the bay from the deck is absolutely gorgeous! We even saw one of the most breath taking rainbows arching over the bay. We were very pleased with our stay at Kimar Charters. We hope to cross paths again☺

Mosquitoes stayed outside.

Everything was cozy. I enjoyed the couch on the front porch. Mosquitoes were terrible, as expected, but once you got in the cottage they were gone. I don't know how they did that, but it was great.

Beautiful location!

Had a great stay! Bring your own coffee. Rock hunting isn't possible on this location's shoreline. Very cutely decorated but very uncomfortable beds. This, however, may be because both my partner and I are heavy set. Was very happy with how clean the rental was. Sarah was there to warmly greet us! Thanks Kimar's!
