Adorable cottage and property. Great location close to town, but in the quiet country. Everything was so clean and well-equipped. Would definitely return.

This is my new go to place when I'm in the UP. Phenominal location, with great hosts. It is so peaceful and quiet that you can't help but want to just soak it in. It's absolutely woth the extra few minutes of drive time into town.
Great time! Cabin had everything you could need. The huge sliding glass door looking out to the lake was very nice. Just sitting on the huge porch, listening to the water and watching for wildlife was exactly the vacation we were looking for.
What a perfect location for a quiet family weekend! We had a great time exploring the Keweenaw area with our MTU student. The location was central for all of our planned activities. The home was clean, modern, and comfortable.
This is a beautiful cabin! Very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed exploring the Keweenaw peninsula and the Porcupine Mountains. Also Calumet is a very cute city. Amazing trip!
The location was perfect for accessing MTU campus for Winter Carnival activities while also providing a great open space for late nights of board and cards games as well as movies. The kitchen had everything we needed. Definitely hope to return in the summer and enjoy the outdoors more!
We were looking for a relaxing, enjoyable place that was close to Lake Superior but not right on the lake. It was a perfect place that offered a quiet, secluded, beautiful cabin on a small lake where we could canoe, paddle board, fish and swim. Communication with the host was excellent. Would recommend this place to anyone going to the Houghton area.
The cabin was clean and tidy with all of the usual things you would need in the kitchen and bathrooms. I really appreciated the good internet and wifi signal in the cabin. The hosts were very easy to work with and I have NEVER had a smoother checkin and checkout experience. I appreciated the binder with information and the snowmobile map on the fridge with the best way to get to the trails. Thanks!
The chalet was awesome ! This was an impromptu weekend getaway . It was very clean and comfortable . The owners communicated quickly with any questions we had. The chalet was fully stocked with everything ! Will definitely come back !!!
We had an amazing place to stay and enjoy the fabulous fall colors.
Michelle was very prompt in answering all questions and the place was in a perfect location to visit the whole Keweenaw peninsula.

This was better than we could imagine! Such a beautiful place. It was quiet, clean, plenty of things to do for all ages, and above all relaxing! There were a lot of activities to do in the surrounding area as well, which was nicely noted in the welcome binder. Michelle and Carl were fabulous! They were very responsive when we had any questions, polite and just very kind people. We can't wait to come back.
This cabin is great! Very clean and spacious. We loved sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake.
The owners responded to our questions very quickly and were very nice.
One minor downfall is not having a dishwasher. But not a huge deal and doesn't change the 5 star rating we gave.
We would definitely come visit again. Thanks for having us!
I can’t say enough good things about our weekend stay over Labor Day. The cabin was amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. I was slightly concerned as we rounded the corner and saw the cabin thinking that it might be a little small for us but once you go inside, wow! I the cabin was extremely clean and beautiful. I literally have zero negative feedback to give. The property was amazing and the kids had a blast using the water sports that were available to us including canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Volleyball and basketball were played and we had an evening bonfire and made s’mores. The property was centrally located to both of our destinations for the weekend (Copper Harbor and the Porcupine Mountains). I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
I LOVE this property. I cannot say enough good things! This is our second stay on the property, but the first during the summer, and the first at the Chalet. We had a great time! Michelle makes arrival and departure easy, I truly feel like a guest. The cabin’s stocked kitchen is so great for a cooking mom like me! Although I didn’t get a chance to use it, there’s even a Kitchen Aid mixer! When we come back to this cabin, it will get used :)
My kids had so much fun in the water with the paddle boards. The lake is so nice. The kids had a great time chasing frogs, turtles and grasshoppers. They also absolutely loved the loft and “camped out” with sleeping bags in the cubby areas, even when there were bed spaces available.
Everything is so clean—the air, the water, the cabin, the appliances, the shower…everything!
We chose this location because it is close to our MI Tech daughter, but, although it’s far from home, I hope we can continue to find reasons to stay here even after graduation (for which we have already booked the Love Palace next spring!). Thanks for another fabulous stay!
