Large House Close to Area Attractions - Large Parking Area - Copper Ridge

  • Come visit the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

    Copper Ridge is a large 3 bedroom / 2.5 bathroom house located right next to the Bill Nicholls Trail 3. The parking area is a large, pull-through style driveway with enough room to fit multiple trucks and trailers.

    The house is a 2 story, with a master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs. There are no steps to enter into the house.

    Each bedroom has a king bed and the "Bunk Room" also includes a twin size bunk bed with pull out trundle bed. The sofa, in the upstairs game room, pulls out to a twin size bed also. There is a baby pack and play crib available for guest use.

    The entry/mudroom is spacious and includes plenty of room to dry snowmobile or ATV gear, hang wedding attire, or any other necessary items you need for your vacation. There is a half bath located just inside of the entry door for your convenience.

    The main living room and upstairs game room are open and a great place to relax in the evenings. In the main living room, there is a gas fireplace for your enjoyment, with comfortable seating for hours of relaxation. Upstairs you will find a pool table, Pac-Man game, Fuse-ball, board games, card games, and books. There is also a small sink and counter for additional convenience.

    There are no TV's in the house, but wireless internet is provided for guest devices. The kitchen is fully stocked with table settings, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The coffee maker is able to use single-serve k-cups or ground coffee for a full pot. Outside there is a large gas grill ready for guest use. Full washer and dryer are available for guest use.

    There is an outdoor fire pit and plenty of yard to enjoy games.

    The area offers something for everyone. Some of the many activities to enjoy nearby include downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking, ATV-ing, fishing, and relaxing on one of the many Lake Superior beaches.

    Copper Ridge is located 4 miles from Houghton and 6 miles from MTU.

    This property has plenty of space for truck and trailer parking. Trail is located across the street (Allouez Street).

    With the house being located so close to a main snowmobile/ATV trail and busy town road, there is a potential for noise. Please take the time to consider this if you are looking for a secluded, quiet vacation.

This house is amazing. We had two families visiting two MTU students. There was plenty of room to spread out, to sleep, and relax. Close to town. They have thought of every detail here and we would love to stay again.

2024 Winter Carnival

Great rental property, close to campus, shopping, and snowmobile trails. Plenty of room for 10 guests to sleep and with 2.5 baths we never had to wait for a bathroom! The kitchen was well stocked and plenty big....the large table was also handy. Everyone loved the property and is already talking about coming back!

The house was perfect. Totally updated. Plenty of space for our 2 familys. 4 adults 6 kids. Great space outside and inside for the kids to play. Firepit was all set for us to use, plenty of wood available. Less then 10 minutes to downtown Houghton.

Absolute comfort!

We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We spent most days out exploring, but sleeping was so great in the comfy king beds and dark and quiet rooms. The location is perfect for people who want access to the trails or have lots of equipment. We didn’t have any concerns related to the trail nearby or the main road. Loved having multiple bathrooms and a washer and dryer available. Living room was great for morning and evening visiting. Great place!!

Love the house!

The house was perfect for all of us. The beds were extremely comfortable along with the rest of the house. We all enjoyed using the pool table also. It wasn't as secluded as I first thought. The road it is on is pretty busy when mornings come, so we had to shut the windows to keep the sound of traffic out. We're not used to traffic at all. Even with that, it was a lovely house and we hope to stay in it again. The owners were very kind when I asked a couple obvious questions also. I felt a bit silly, but I appreciated their response.

Amazing Home in a Great Location

What an amazing home this was! We've stayed at other home rentals before, and many times we stay in a house. Copper Ridge is a home! So inviting, so warmly decorated, so amazing! We had a wide age range at this home (5, 8,10, 16, 18, and up to 42). This home had something to entertain everyone. My kids said the pool table was their favorite and the plethora of board games. My husband loved that there was no TV in it, so everyone was forced to hang out, talk, and be at least TV free for our time there. The kitchen had just about everything we needed. Laundry pods to do our laundry as well! The beds were spacious and a huge plus. So much space for everyone to sleep and hangout. The towels were great too. That may seem silly, but I love a good absorbent towel. Haha They fire pit was perfect for s'mores! The one time we had to communicate with the owners, they responded quickly. There did seem to be many earwigs, so just shake out your clothes, towels, shoes, etc. The location was great, aside from some inconsiderate drivers going down the road at night. I recommend a sound machine and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. We will definitely come back again!

Bedrooms were nice and comfortable. The road was busier than we thought it would be. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Wish there was a TV for at night when we were there. Easy access to town. Had an issue with having allot of flies, but that could have been the time of year. House was very nice and well stocked.
