Charming Historic Cottage with Private Waterfront on Core Sound -Pet Friendly

Enjoy spectacular sunrises, moon lit nights and gorgeous views of Core Sound from this recently renovated historic studio cabin. Pet friendly. 200 feet of private beach (this is the sound so it is not a beach with waves) and shared pier access. Pier can be used for motorized or non-motorized boats but the sound is very shallow and requires a flat bottom boat. Queen bed. High speed internet and smart TV. Streaming services with your own account. Bring your bikes to explore the town of Atlantic. Bring your boat/kayaks to take advantage of the outstanding fishing and beaches of Cape Lookout National Seashore that can be accessed by boat or ferry. Enjoy lunch at White Point Take Out. Dinner at Paddys Take Out or Wild Wills Revenge. No grocery store in town so make sure to stop along the way in Beaufort or New Bern. Dollar general is 5 miles away in Sealevel. Lovely restaurants and shopping in Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic Beach 25 mi. away.

Nice little cottage
The cottage was perfect for us and our two Yorkies. The only negative was its proximity to restaurants and the actual beach.

A beautiful waterfront location if you’re looking for a place to sit on the deck and enjoy the view. Also plenty to see and do in the area. Very quiet, lovely sunrises, lots of water birds to watch.

Cute and private bungalow on the water
We loved this little cottage! It's true that this isn't the kind of beach you can lay out and comfortably go swimming at, but we had a great time searching for shells, fishing, and wading through the water. If we had water shoes we probably would have gotten in more. It's also true that some residents and other visitors will come down the spur road occasionally, but we didnt have any issue with that, and it didnt happen an unreasonable amount of times so it still felt very private and secluded. We loved the abandoned buildings next to the property as it made it feel even more private for us, and if anyone thinks the house being overtaken by nature is ugly then I just feel sorry for you. Beautfiul views all around. We ordered groceries for pick-up in Beaufort on our way down, it was only about a half hour away. The only thing I will say is that if you plan on cooking A LOT like we did (we stayed 6 nights and cooked all but 3 meals) you might wanna bring a couple of your own pans and cooking utensils. You can tell the pans havent been taken very good care of by previous guests so it can be a challenge to work with them, but that's not the fault of the hosts. Appreciated all of the cookware/utensils they have there though and we made it work. We also tried both restaurants in town and they were both fantastic! Lastly, we really appreciate the hosts allowing us to bring our dog who greatly exceeds their weight limit as its very challenging to find places to bring him.He loved it!

Remote and beautiful
The cottage was lovely and the view was quite beautiful. There were many amenities and the property manager, Felicia, could not have been nicer or more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Clean and Cozy
Pros: very clean, clear communication, seamless check-in/out process, dog friendly, A/C, propane grill, great wifi connection, large deck to sit and watch the water, felt safe. Perfect for 2 adults and 1 dog. We made sure to bring enough groceries since there is no store nearby. Didn’t get to try the restaurant but the host was kind enough to leave menus in the info packet. Not a beach. I learned that it is the Core Sound when I got there so don’t expect this to be a private beach, even though the picture looks like it would be. Most likely will have to drive somewhere to go to the beach/fishing/out to eat. Other reviews are right, all sorts of ppl coming in and out of the abandoned warehouse next to the property. But for us, staying 2 nights was the perfect amount of time just cooking, relaxing, watching Netflix, and playing with the dog.
