It’s a little cringe that to get to the house you have to reverse your car over a bridge to park, or walk from the top of the street. I appreciate the washer and dryer. It definitely wasn't luxury like the title said it was. Smaller than expected from the pictures but cozy. Need a longer shower curtain because it's not wide enough so water leaks on the floor when showering. Need to upgrade the pillows because they were all flat and also need to upgrade the bed linen, very old and outdated. We had a late check in due to a delayed flight, so we didn’t get there until 10:30pm. Immediately as you walk in you smell smoke and feel the floor being very sticky. We were tired and very hungry so we ate our pizza and took showers. By the time I finished my shower, I noticed a dirty old makeup towel folded and placed on the sink with hair in it. When I finally went to the room, one of the beds had stained sheets, while the other also had a hair on it. I no longer felt comfortably sleeping in a place like this and by then 2nd hour there, we left at 12:30 am. The property owner would not answer the call, and when I finally got a hold of him the next day he refused to refund us because we “had enough time to complain earlier”. However, we called him and Expedia for the last hour, and we were ready to leave after only one hour staying there. The photos are better than the reality. It is a sweet place and has a lot of potential. Towels were tiny. Kitchen barely stocked with old pans in rough condition. The neighbors on the other side smoke a lot of pot and cigarettes which you get inundated with the smell. They had a gathering that kept us up until nearly 3a as it’s quite noisy and not well sound insulated. Our checkin procedures were emailed the day we checked out. The international number to reach the property is a pain. The listing had a domestic number that was out of service. Took 3 days to get in touch with anyone. The gentleman we did get in touch with was kind, courteous and was patient with my panicked 1a phone call when we couldn’t get in on arrival. It all worked out in the end.
