100 year old gem. Beautiful floors and woodwork. The house fit our group of 10 perfectly. 5 Bedrooms- 1 queen bed downstairs with a 1/2 bath and 4 king beds upstairs with 2 jack and jill bathrooms. We barely used the kitchen. The back deck was a great place to sit in nature and talk. Plenty of space for a group to spread out. The host was very responsive to all messages. We requested a few extra chairs for the dining room and she made it happen. Recommend Double Zero Italian restaurant 5 minutes from the house.
Perfect location, plenty of space, and cozy family/TV room. Older house with lots of charm, in lovely neighborhood convenient to midtown. Needed more electrical outlets upstairs.

The property presents itself MUCH nicer then it actually is.. Water pressure sucks, NO back up toilet paper or paper towels. No mixing bowls or serving dishes in kitchen. Electric went out in 3 different areas of the house from simply using the blow dryer in the upstairs bathroom.. 2 of the upstairs king rooms have very low flat beds/matterses.. spent most of the time in the kitchen and patio area (that was nice) There was a guy and his girlfriend staying in the unit under the house, and they had a couple dogs with them.. (they didn’t cause an issue) A realtor also came during our stay to “view the home” obviously we didn’t allow since we were occupying the residence.. Location was good, nicer area of Atlanta.. probably wouldn’t book again, but it served it’s purpose
We stayed for a week during the Thanksgiving break. House is quite large accommodating six adults. Plenty of room to rest and relax. House is well heated and Atlanta got cold for a change, when we were visiting. Hosts kept more than enough starter supplies. We have seen reviews about pests in the house but there were none. Very conveniently located to Kroger, Target and other stores in a very safe neighborhood in the Midtown. All in all we loved out stay! We will stay there again when we visit next time.
This property is spacious and comfortable with large groups of people. I had read previous reviews about outlets not working but I’m pleased to say all outlets my family and I used were operational and plenty available. It is tricky to get in and out of the driveway due to the road the property sits on, but not impossible - just takes some patience. There are 2 full bathrooms upstairs - they are jack and jills between 2 rooms. They are not large but I appreciated the modern touches within them. We did not experience any pests indoors. The only issues we had were a few blown lightbulbs and some sagging curtain rods. There is one bedroom downstairs that does not get as much air flow and is not as well insulated - it was warm (it was around 80 degrees while we stayed) and traffic noise was loud in that room in particular, but overall this is a great place to stay, especially if you love old and historic houses! I wish there was a history of the house to read somewhere as that would have been cool to us, but it’s in a great neighborhood considering it’s in a major city and I would recommend it to friends.
Communication and location is top tier for what we were there for! Prime location and uber drivers were cheap for the places we were going all though (electric cars drop you off in bushes and had a uber drop us off in the middle of the street not their fault but very dangerous as to where the house is located off a busy street.) You could have up to two other tenants staying with you during your stay just an fyi do be mindful when parking not to block mothers quarters. Outdoor lights that were hung up only had one light left so needs to either be replaced or replace the bulbs. Because the house is built in 1925, queen room (downstairs bedroom) one of the house quest complained that the original windows wouldn’t close so staying on a very busy street lead to very minimal sleep things are old in the house same goes for the outlets(from reading prior reviews I had brought a surge protector for the girlies) , curtains had stains rods bent, mattress ( which some should be replaced. Some house guest complained of the mattress be too firm or concave. Purple room was the only ok bed in the house but you can’t change the speed of the ceiling fan its chain is broken. Only two tvs out of all the rooms with room upper left very stubborn and faulty to do anything with. Husband has to have subtitles as he is majority deaf. Overall for us, we were there only to sleep, shower, etc. We weren’t there much. Light sleepers should bring fan or tablets Prime real estate location.
It was a great location and stay for what we needed! This house is HISTORIC! That being said there are some quirks, such as the doors not opening properly or a lot of outlets not working. It was a great location and size!! Definitely would stay again
Great area to stay. Definitely a bit dated inside but may cater to those who prefer that specific style of home. Front door hard to open but overall, a quaint area. Only big negative is it is a bit hard turning into the area due to local traffic
This house is just as advertised. It is in a beautiful, secluded spot a few miles outside Custer. Perfect location to do all the fun things in the hills and relax at the end of the day.
The bedrooms were comfortable. The property was very pet friendly. The property was older than expected and showed signs of wear and tear that weren't portrayed in the photos. Corner of Briarcliff and Decatur got really busy and quite loud on Saturday night. No big negatives and we would rate the property a B/A-. I would have no problems renting again for large group stay, or if I were retrurning to Emory Medical School for an extended stay.
The home was a great fit for our group because it could accommodate all of us. The location was wonderful as we could walk to some great restaurants in the Emory Village.
We had a wonderful weekend in Atlanta. We flew our kids in from other East Coast cities and the house provided a great home base for the weekend and the ability for us to all spend time together. Much better than a bunch of hotel rooms!! Thank you!

Great stay! There were some outlet problems and having 10 girls in a house with no working bathroom
Great stay! There were some outlet problems and having 10 girls in a house with no working bathroom electrical outlets did pose an issue, but we made due. Beautiful home and great location.
We stayed for a week in this lovely house. Great location. Very clean. But it is clearly historic and so be aware if you stay there - it has issues like all old houses (creaky floors, etc). But that why I think it is so great!

nice area, could be a decent house, if not for the huge cockroaches and spiders, fat dead rat near the front sidewalk. Located right on a corner intersection. Traffic was so loud every night, older windows don't block much noise. Believe the renter in the basement was a smoker, every night i smelled cigarette smoke in my bedroom. Light switches that wouldn't work to turn on lights, and lights we couldn't turn off.
this house has a lot of potential, just not something I'd stay at again.

This was without a doubt the most uncomfortable rental. There is a large dining room The 7 chairs were unscrewed and excessively wobbly and dangerous. We found a kitchen utensil, but it was not successful. On the left is a large useless living room. It contained a couch and chair with a monstrous coffee table. Useless because there was no TV and nowhere to sit and have a conversation. Through the living room there is what is a sunroom. In the room there was a bed but very few curtains on the windows. If you plan on marketing this as a bedroom put window coverings on the windows. Lastly, one of the doorknobs from the sunroom door was off and laying on the table by the window in the living room the door did not close. Through the living room there is what serves as a TV room 12 x 16 feet containing a couch and chair. So only 3 can sit and watch TV and one of the 3 cannot see the TV very high on the wall and very close. The dangerous electrical rigging of the TV. Cords hanging down and just basically unsightly. The furniture is nasty, hard fabric, torn and dirty. This should be replaced. The kitchen was ok with the exception of the outlets immensely close to water. When using the microwave the power flickered and went out although it did come back on. The stove trips the breaker which is in the basement. Kitchen linens sparse. There is a fan in the kitchen that does not work. Upstairs, there are 4 bedrooms with the most uncomfortable beds.
We stayed here for an out of town wedding with other family members. It was perfect for what we wanted- to be close to the wedding but be able to socialize during the day and some evenings. The bedrooms were nice, and so were the king beds. The back deck was great and we used it a lot. The grill did not work, so ask about that if you plan to use it. The only downside is the location. Although it's close to many things, its right on the corner of busy streets and got quite loud at night and in the early mornings, I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
But overall, a perfect stay for what we wanted and communication with the host was good! I would book again.
Let me first start by saying, it pains me to write a this review. As both a business owner & home owner who lists on this site, I know how valuable positive reviews can be for future business. I have politely reached out to Sara, the owner, multiple times in the hopes of discussing the conditions of the house, only to be completely ignored.
Upon our arrival, we entered through the back door, which leads you into the kitchen. There was a foul smell as soon as we walked in, like rotten trash. The trash and fridge were empty, leaving us stumped. We noticed the kitchen countertops (especially the stovetop) hadn’t been cleaned. My co-worker and I quickly toured the rest of the house and unloaded our luggage in a hurry to pick up our colleagues from the airport and get to our work event.
After returning & unpacking from a long day of travel, a couple girls volunteered to clean the kitchen in the hopes the smell would go away. We decided to order a pizza. When we went to take the pizza boxes out to the trash can, it was already at the curb overflowing from the previous tenants. By the end of other week, the curb looked like a dumpster site.
It’s worth noting there are only 2 very tiny bathrooms upstairs and a 1/2 bath downstairs. It’s a tight squeeze for a full house. Ladies- There is practically no counter space to get ready in any of the bathrooms and the lighting in the house is very dim (hardly any natural light in comparison to the brightly lit gallery images.)
We were scheduled for a 4 day work conference at the State Farm Arena, where we spent a majority of our time (7am-6pm.) Each time we returned home, the smell had traveled further through the house, eventually making its way upstairs along with the gnats that started to magically appear. One of the girls thought it could possibly be a gas leak, so I notified the owner via the app. She never sent anyone out to inspect. On night 3, we found two big roaches in our bedrooms. And as we were tidying up on the last night, we noticed a ton of gnats around the oven so we opened it and discovered two large trays of rotten food covered in bugs. We were all disgusted.
The property is on the corner of a very busy intersection and super noisy at night. The property is rented out to multiple guests at the SAME time- the main house, a back house, AND a separate room that is attached to the main house.
Not ideal for those seeking privacy or cleanliness. Pictures of proof lisacarr44@gmail

Great house, poor communication
Overall, it was a nice house in a great location. That being said - I was extremely disappointed with the check in process. We were from out of town and did not receive the check in code at 4 PM as we were supposed to (this was after we requested early check in and were denied, therefore the property manager knew we were in town already). We were in an unfamiliar city with no where to go. An hour after our check in time, I finally tried to contact the property manager to request it. I did not receive a response for over half an hour via VRBO message and the number provided is not in service. We were very worried that we had no where to stay and were scammed. Finally after receiving the code via message, we received no form of sympathy from the property manager. She insisted that she sent the welcome message, which did not include any information containing our check in code. There was also a person and their dog staying in the guest home (which is less than 10 feet from the home). I do believe this should have been communicated since we were thrown off guard to wake up with another car in the driveway. In summary, I’d recommend the home for the location and space but probably wouldn’t risk staying here due to lack of communication.
