Athy also boasts a golf club, angling club and superb walking trails making it a fantastic base to stretch your legs and switch off. Within an hour’s drive of Athy are the stunning glacial lakes of Glendalough in County Wicklow, and also the medieval town of Kilkenny with its original cobbled streets and castle is within driving distance. A superb base to tour this glorious region.
