  • This is a family-friendly property. The house has balconies off some of the the bedrooms and two outdoor porches in which to enjoy the outdoor views and the beautiful sunrises. There is a children's park below the property that has a splash pad. There is awalking trail that follows the river and a couple of restaurants, with out door seating close by.

This property is amazing! It has a great location overlooking the river. It's very clean, we had everything we needed in the kitchen, and it's decorated so cute! We will be staying here again for sure.

The place was very clean with a nice view of the Missouri River. The bedrooms have ample space…enough to accommodate 10 persons. Communication was excellent with Sally (Vrbo host). Great stay!

Host was Very responsive to any questions we had prior to booking. The house was absolutely breathtaking and provided a wonderful space to stay for our daughter’s wedding. It was very clean, organized and the view was breathtaking!! We will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful home, with outstanding views. Sandy was so kind, accommodating and thoughtful. The house is so well equipped and comfortable. The gravel driveway is a bit steep so I suggest following the directions that are sent from the host for best accessibility.

We had a multi-generational family gathering that included kiddos aged 1-10. This space was perfect for us! The kitchen and living area gave us ample room to have meals and play games together. The deck and grill added even more comfortable gathering space. We all loved the views of the river from every level of the house, too. The house was clean and fresh, we loved the decor. The queen bed in the upstairs room with the balcony creaked a lot and was hard to sleep on, those guests ended up using the hide-a-bed in the living room instead. There is not much yard space for outdoor games, but having Independence Park less than a block away more than made up for it. We were there every day! We have family in town and would definitely consider booking this property again.

The view was absolutely beautiful! Loved sitting out on the deck enjoying our coffee in the morning watching the river flow by. The house was very clean, kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable, linens and towels were high quality and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets.We are already talking about renting it the next time we are back and told all our relatives about it and they want to rent it too.The last night we were there, it rained and we were blessed with seeing a double rainbow over the river. It was quite spectacular.We had great food at Muellers Lockeroom and Willy's. Went to Paolucci's, which was a favorite of my family in years past, but were very disappointed in the service. Our host Sally was quick to respond to any of our questions.All in all, it was a wonderful relaxing 3 day weekend and we highly recommend it.

Memorial Weekend

Great location that was easy to find. We were headed into KC to watch a Monarchs game and found this place with an easy 45 minute drive into The Legends. Very beautiful house overlooking the Missouri River and got to see parts of Kansas I had not seen before. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway location!

My siblings and I met up in Atchison to celebrate my 50th bday. This house was absolutely perfect for us. It was very clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. The hosts were very communicative and check-in/out was easy. I would highly recommend this rental and would definitely rent it again if in the area.

Lovely house

Five girlfriends stayed here for our annual college reunion/girls' trip. The house was exceptionally clean, comfortably furnished, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals ar home. Great location with beautiful river views.

Lovely Atchison Home!

This a beautiful property… spacious, comfortable, clean, well-appointed, and in a great location. The views are so lovely on the bluff. Communication with the owners was great, and they were very gracious and kind. I would highly recommend this property, and we hope to return one day!

Family friendly and a beautiful view!

We had a wonderful stay with a few of our adult children, teenage son and a few of our grandchildren. We were in town to see our daughter's dance performance at Benedictine. The house was immaculate and perfectly laid out for a fun family weekend! Thank you for the opportunity to rent!
