Spent a long weekend ice fishing in the area. The place worked out perfect, plenty of room for vehicles and trailers. The attached garage to thaw out gear was an added bonus.
We had everything we needed, and the cabin is very comfortable. We weren’t able to walk the property, but we enjoyed being able to watch the wildlife from the deck. The sunsets are absolutely amazing.
My friend, our three kids, and I stayed at this house while we explored the Apostle Islands area. It was a good launching point for our day trips. The house was very clean and tidy, and it had everything we needed.
This was an amazing place to stay! Very clean and organized on a beautiful piece of property. This is an outdoorsman/womans place to be. The view was incredible. Wildlife was abundant. Definitely recommend this place. We will be returning!
This was the second time we stayed, the first being in 2019. Both times the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would ever need. The entire house was neat, clean, and organized. A wonderful place to stay with family or friends and visit the surrounding area and all it has to offer. With so much to see and do in the area it’s easy to be on the go, but plan to stay an extra day or two to just enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the estate.
This house was clean & fully equipped. The deck offered beautiful views of the wetlands, trails & sunset. It is so quiet except for the sound of the birds yet close to Ashland and all of the activities we wanted to do. Would definitely like to stay here again.
Home was well stocked, especially the kitchen. Liked the open floor plan very much. Secluded property low vehicle usage on the road. Definitely on our radar if we are in the area. Our two yorkies had a good time as well.
Easy drive from Ashland
We stayed two nights
Nice view of fields and ponds
We saw deer
We hiked the trails
One of the goals was to do some star gazing And we did, but unfortunately our schedule collided with a full moon which washed out most of the sky 😢
But the moon 🌕 was nice.
And we saw some constellations.
We found the property to be as described with plenty of room for multiple people. Anything we needed was available.
Yard was spacious and trails were groomed nicely. Bugs on the other hand were plentiful in August so using the trails was challenging for us.
Beautiful views of wildlife and sunsets/sunrises. Overall a graat experience and we would recommend this property.
We were here for four days. It is amazing! The building was newly renovated, comfortable and attractive. There are three miles of mowed trails.
The property is lovely, lots of deer, birds and ducks. It is private with little light pollution, giving you a wonderful view of the stars and planets. The Milky Way was brilliant. We are looking forward to returning this winter to Cross Country Ski.
This was a great place for my family, 3 kids, 15, 12 and 10. My husband and my mom and dad. We had plenty of space. If you like nature, this is your place. My kids love animals and love to be outdoors. Plenty of mowed trails to walk along. We saw deer, turkeys, otters, many bird species and a turtle showed up in the back yard. We would definitely book again. It is close to Ashland, Bayfield and Madeline Island. Internet is slow which I liked so we could unplug, slow down and use old school ways to seek out our adventures. Great Place!
What a beautiful property! The view from the deck is calming and relaxing. The house is a true hunter's lodge and fits the property. It was clean, roomy, and attention to details was included. We only stayed the weekend, but it would be a great place to stay longer.
