Timber Ridge is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville, a scenic, 15-minute drive to Black Mountain and just a 15 minute drive will take you to I-40 or the parkway where so many adventures begin! Whether you feel like hiking Mt. Mitchell, Chimney Rock State Park, Looking Glass Falls or sitting on the rocking-chair porch at Mt. Pisgah after having a nice meal, you will be surrounded in beauty. When it comes to our mountains, we know the secret - within the beauty lies charm, romance and opportunity for a peace that is hard to define. This cabin was perfect for our honeymoon! Candi and Ron made everything so easy and welcoming. The location is perfect - secluded enough for privacy but an easy drive to Asheville or Black Mountain. Would love to come back in the future!

This was the perfect location for a long weekend getaway to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything was clean, was well stocked with everything you need to cook a dinner, bed was comfortable and the hot tub was a great addition! Candice was great to work with, provided all the information we needed ahead of time and even called to make sure there were no problems with the code to get in. They even left a small gift for my wife! We will be back again, and we highly recommend this property!

Timber Ridge was the most welcoming place we have stayed at. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the porch by the fire pit in the evening reading and listening to the night sounds. It is a very quiet, private, and peaceful place. The bed was comfy and the bathroom supplied with all the essentials, including plenty of towels.We have stayed in many vacation rentals and have never had the host reach out to us in the way Candi and Ron did. It was evident that they wanted to make our stay special. We will definitely book with them again when we are in the Asheville area and highly recommend Timber Ridge to anyone who wants to visit the area.

Everything from check in to check out was absolutely perfect! The house was so cute and charming. No cheesy decor or cheap bedding! The sheets were super soft. Comfy, adjustable air bed which was great for my back even with multiple herniated discs and previous back surgery. Extra blankets galore. Even the pillows were awesome! Kitchen well stocked. Hot tub extremely clean and well maintained. We were so impressed and pleased. The location was great as well! Far enough away from the Asheville hustle and bustle to relax peacefully but close enough to jump right into it if desired. Great privacy as well! Hostess, Candice, is a GEM and stayed in close contact but allowed us to enjoy peacefully! We will most definitely be back! Thank you!!

This house is a hidden gem! This was I believe our 3rd stay at Timber Ridge and as per the norm, Candi and Ronnie were excellent hosts. Before our visit Candi reached out to ask what type of creamer we would like and to our delight it was waiting for us in the fridge. The house is spotless and oh so comfy cozy. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place!!

Wonderful Home

Excellent accommodations for two couples. We enjoyed a long weekend stay and wished it could have been longer. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. It is close to Black Mountain and Asheville for shopping, dining and numerous breweries.

2nd Visit

This property has become our go to when we visit Asheville. It gives a private place to relax, but close to town. It is very well kept and has all the amenities needed as well as some special extras. Very worth it.

Perfect Getaway

We had the best visit! The house was so clean and well stocked. Check in was a breeze and Candice and Ron were wonderful hosts! There was a note, flowers and chocolates awaiting us upon arrival. Location was perfect to easily get to Chimney Rock / Lake Lure, Ashville and Black Mountain. We watched the beautiful sunsets every night from the porch and hot tub, I would highly recommend staying here for a weekend getaway!

Wonderful, relaxing stay!!

My mom, aunt and I went up for a relaxing weekend on Labor Day. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the lovely front porch - it was quiet, relaxing and felt like we were in the treetops! Absolutely beautiful scenery!! The hosts were exceptional, and "Captain Ron" was especially helpful in assisting us with our arrival and departure. My mom is disabled, and he went out of his way to make sure we got her in and out safely. The hosts were very responsive to any needs we had. Highly recommend!!!

Nice cabin in the mountains

Candice and Captain Ron were great. The cabin was beautiful and clean. Everything was labeled for easy use. The location was perfect for us as we visited both the Biltmore and some local breweries. The fire pit ran out of gas and they immediately replaced the tank even though we didn’t expect it. They checked in to ensure everything was going good. Will definitely be back.

All Around Excellence

THIS CABIN IS IT! Communication with the owners was easy and check in and out was uncomplicated. The cabin had everything you would want or need. Even if you didn't know you needed it. The amenities and extras the owners thought of were above and beyond. Relaxing on the deck was our favorite place to spend time. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We look forward to our next visit.

Black Mountain-Fairview NC

Timber Ridge was an exceptional property with very attentive and engaged ownershp. The home is equipped with premium appliances, furnishings, electronics, and cooking/dining items. We truly appreciated the quality of construction and materials used to create Timber Ridge. Ron and Candace were gracious hosts and treated us with kindness and genuine concern for our well-being and enjoyment.

The perfect stay!

We have stayed at this lovely home once before with our daughters, but decided to come for a nice long weekend just the two of us. This truly is a perfect place to stay. The home is beautiful and comfortable. It has everything we could need and more! We love this area, too, because not only is this a wonderful home, but there are so many great things to do nearby! We did some beautiful hikes, saw Shakespeare in the Park, walked around the town of Black Mountain (and ate at Black Mountain Bistro- so good!), watched live music at Sierra Nevada Brewery, drove to Linville Winery after hiking at Linville Gorge..I could go on! We are grateful to have a place to come to where we know our lodging will be just want we would want and there will also be so much to do no matter what we are in the mood for! Now we just need to plan our return visit!

Serene, peaceful stay - LOVED Timber Ridge!

Our experience at Timber Ridge was more than we could've hoped for! The pictures don't do the cabin justice. It was a perfect getaway in the woods that is close enough to town for a quick run to the store or dinner and near so many beautiful hiking spots. We absolutely loved how serene and private the raised porch was - perfect place for coffee each morning. The cabin with stocked with all of the basics we needed. Candice was incredibly communicative and helpful. She provided suggestions for food, sights, and things to do and was so considerate when reaching out. Best experience I've had with a rental! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway that is close to Asheville, I can't recommend this cabin enough. You won't regret it!

Wonderful! Check this beautiful home out!

Communications with the hosts was great! We entered the property to find nice welcoming note along with a bottle of sparkling juice and chocolates. The home was immaculate and lacked for nothing. Comfortable furniture, a BBQ grill, fire pit, big screen TV, crockpot, pans and dishes, and our favorite.. the hot tub, which we used every day before dinner. We had a lovely view from the front porch rockers and loved the solitude and quiet (a bit of traffic noise from down below after bed time but not enough to keep us from falling fast asleep every night). Candice and Ron were readily available and their attention to detail, as well as all of the little touches that they included in the home were so warm and welcoming. We could not have been happier or more impressed with both the beauty of their house and their thoughtfulness. Definitely one of the nicest VRBOs we have ever stayed in.
