There are four bedrooms and three baths to accommodate 6-8 people very well. The primary bedroom has a king bed. The upstairs guest bedroom has another king bed. The downstairs bedrooms both have queen beds and share a bathroom. I have 2 smart TVs, one in the upstairs living room and one in the primary bedroom. My house is decorated with tons a fun artwork and vintage items. Plus, there are a few of my own handmade glass pieces available if you would like a souvenir from Asheville. The garage is reserved for my personal use. If you reserve the home, you will be the only guests. I will not be present during your stay. I live in the mountains which is lovely, but makes for a steep driveway yet is completely accessible with any car. There is a 3 car maximum. Sleeping arrangements Primary Bedroom (upstairs) : king bed Bedroom 2 (upstairs): king bed Bedroom 3 (downstairs) : queen bed/shared bath Bedroom 4 (downstairs) : queen bed / shared bath Common spaces: 3 couches Guest interaction I have lived in the area for awhile now and know great places to eat and hang out. If you would like any suggestions or tips, please just ask. I have a PDF of recommendations I’d be happy to send by email before your stay. There is also a book in the kitchen that suggests some of my personal favorite places. It has phone numbers for reservations (which I suggest) and maps to help you find everything in Asheville. I will not be present during your stay, but am always just a text away for anything you might need. Getting around My place is a quick trip to downtown by car or Uber. In just 5 minutes, you are in the heart of downtown ready to enjoy all that Asheville has to offer! Other things to note This is also a residential neighborhood. Sound travels easily, so I ask that guests be respectful in terms of noise. Thanks in advance! Please consider taking an Uber or Lyft to hang out downtown, just minutes away with tons of great places to hang, eat and drink!! I’ll send you a list of my favorites! There are so many, it’s hard to choose! Please be advised this is a mountain home in a mountain setting. This may not be the perfect home for people with mobility issues. There are approximately 7 steps from the driveway to the walkway and 2 steps from the walkway into the house. The kitchen, laundry, two bedrooms and baths (including the master), dining room and living room are on the main level. There is one bedroom, bath, and a den with a futon in the basement. I have a regular drip coffee pot, k pod coffee maker, French press and electric kettle. Filters are provided: please bring coffee and creamer, we have the view! Just so you are aware, there is a camera at the garage door. It is there to help with any problems a guest might have with the lockbox. It also triggers a light to come up for late night arrivals which is helpful! The only thing I can see from this camera is directly in front of the door. The only reason it is there is to help guests check in and check out. One dog is ok with pet fee, must be house trained. Ask if you have any questions. This home is not suitable for parties or events. Please do not book for a bachelorette or bachelor party, you will be asked to cancel your reservation. Very conveniently located less than 10 mins. from downtown Asheville. Courtney was an amazing host and was immensely responsive by phone to all of our questions. We had one tiny issue finding the home initially, but were glad that we arrived when there was still daylight. And very thankful that Courtney was so responsive and helpful in getting us there.It was so nice feeling like we were in a peaceful, quiet and secluded area in the woods despite being so close to the city and all the local sites.We were blown away by how well-stocked the home was, especially with things for our toddler, including a baby gate, baby books, high chair and Pack N Play. We also loved seeing all the quirky, unique, artistic and antique decor throughout the home. It absolutely has a lot of character! My favorite was the record player with the vintage record collection.We would strongly recommend staying here for anyone who is visiting Asheville and would absolutely consider coming back ourselves in the future! ##### Ani G. The host was in good communication and very helpful. Even the walk-out basement room was fresh and did not seem like a basement. The only unexpected part was the steepness and turns of the driveway, but there was room to turn around and park 2 cars easily. We enjoyed this home very much and found it to be a perfect fit for our 4-night family vacation! We had 3 couples - us plus our 2 grown children and their partners. Everyone had their own space and bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked for the meals we cooked there. Ample dining space inside and on the deck. We easily used Uber/Lyft to and from downtown several times with ride times around 10 mins. Fun to explore the cool collection of vintage cameras and other decor in this home. Courtney was quick to respond to any questions both before and during our stay. Check-in and check-out were super easy with the lock box system. Excellent property all around! ##### Jeff M. It was plenty big enough for 3 couples. It was extremely clean and the kitchen was well equipped with lots of spices. It also included plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, and even shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. There are a few reasons why I am not giving this 5 stars. We were asked repeatedly to not make too much noise because the neighbors were sensitive. We were 3 couples in our late 40's and early 50's and are not "partiers". However, we were so afraid of incurring a fine for being loud that we were not really able to enjoy the beautiful back deck. We found ourselves whispering when we were on the deck which is not how I want to spend my vacation. Meanwhile, the next door neighbors had children who were extremely loud as they jumped on the trampoline and spent lots of time outside. We were not at all bothered by the noise but found it ironic that we were asked to be quiet when the neighbors were so much louder than us. We accidentally left one of the outside lights on overnight and were told that one of the neighbors complained about it. The second issue was that there was no grill. We like to eat in to be able to socialize more and enjoy each others' company so we shopped and bought steaks to grill and had to cook them in the oven when we discovered there was no grill. I have rented many many houses before and have never rented one without a grill. The third issue was that the bedroom in the lower level, which was beautiful and very private, had a double bed with an old mattress that was very uncomfortable. If the bed in the lower level were either replaced with a queen, or maybe even just upgraded with a gel mattress pad, and a grill were placed on the beautiful deck, this would be a five star rental. The owner was extremely responsive and had great suggestions for places to visit in Asheville. ##### Aimee S. The house was perfect, we had 5 adults and our pup was with us. The house was very clean, the beds and sheets were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and supplies. It was also very well maintained and the decor was lovely. Also a nice touch including body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the showers! A great stay in the mountains!
